Casual, Customized & Comfortable
After owning wide Old Skool lace-ups I decided to give these a try. Some reviews indicated these pull-ons ran a little tight. I knew what to expect. Out of the box they were stiff and slightly tight. I applied my break-in method: I removed the glued down insoles. Then I bent, twisted and rolled the soles to soften them up. Next, I added custom insoles. Comfortable! These shoes will be used in the house and at the gym.POSITIVES:Slightly wider. They look great.Reasonably priced.Never have to replace shoelaces.Love the feel after I tune them up.Good gym shoes; they stick to the floor.Classic design.NEGATIVES:They are only 5mm wider, that's less than 1/4 inch. Cool Grandma
My son and granddaughter wear Vans, and they are shocked and amazed that I bought some. I have been looking for slip-on shoes with canvas uppers, since most other materials make my feet too hot. I decided to check out Vans after a visit from my son, and was surprised they are available in wide widths! I have to wear wide shoes. I ordered a pair, the shipping was free, and they arrived fast. Good quality, comfortable, good looking shoes with a non-slip sole for us fall-prone geezers. Now I feel 30 years younger, wearing these shoes, and the skateboarders move aside when they see me coming.... Show more

Do you have slightly wide feet / high arches too?
I always wanted a pair of Vans classic slip ons, but I have *slightly* wide feet and HIGH arches, which made the regular sizes tooo tight on the tops of my feet.I was excited to see Vans offers a WIDE version nowadays, and bought them in hopes that they would offer more wiggle room for me - and they do! I can finally wear a pair of slip ons. Just wish they offered the all black w/ gum soles. I would prefer that to the white soles.... Show more

I was expecting more
I have pretty normal sized feet but once I got pregnant I found that most of my shoes were fitting a little snug, not extremely uncomfortable but would leave marks after a while so when I saw these I thought they would give me some extra room and even enough to wear cozier sock. I was shocked that these seemed tighter than a new pair of regular vans. I even checked to see if they sent me the regular size and not the wides. They were marked as wide but extremely tight. I tried on a regular pair of fairly new slip ons and they fit about the same. Also I thought it was strange the left shoe was much tighter than the right. I'm hoping to break them in a bit but as of now they're uncomfortable so I might have to stick with my old pair.... Show more

I will always be a vans buyer
I purchased these slip on vans for my wife for Christmas. We always get her size 8.5 women, and her other slip ons are the exact same size. These however, did not match sizes. One shoe fits perfectly, the other shoe leaves a gap between her heel and the back of the shoe. Both shoes are 8.5 women.... Show more

Love the classic look
Love my Vans. I have wide feet so I order the men size and they are perfect. I wear them with everything. Jeans, skirts etc and the width is perfect. If you think these are to narrow in a women size just hop over to the men size. They look exactly the same and come in a wide width or regular width but I got the wide and could not be happier.... Poor Production Quality
I always buy slip ons.. I never have had issues.. this most recent pair has poor finishing on the edges of the sole and sides.m getting pebbles stuck between the two when I walk. It's pretty annoying and kinda disappointing. If this is Vans quality moving forward, I'm going to have to find a new shoe.... Show more

Purchased the wide version and they are extremely comfy
Love them. Used to wear these slip on vans when i was younger and they are nonce again my new go to shoes as an adult. I wear them with wide leg menswear slacks and a crop/tank top on the weekends. I also wear them to work with slacks and a dressier shirt. Very versatile and classic. Always comfortable. I'm normally a size 8.5 or 9 in all shoes. For my slip on vans, i got a size 9 wide and with thin orthopedic inserts, they are chefs kiss. Not too narrow or wide.... Show more

Shoes fit a bit large
I really like the design of these shoes, but unfortunately they fit me a little big around the ankles. I got them in size 6.5. I tried them on and walked with them on, and my feet would slip out of the shoes. I probably should've sized down to a size 6 considering they're slip ons, but I figured this style of vans would fit on the narrower side like my other pairs of vans shoes (I have a pair of old skools and a pair of sk8-his in size 6.5). I ended up returning these shoes.... Show more

This is a simple shoe, looks great but size is tricky
I need slip resistant shoes for management work in an institutional kitchen (hospital, patient services). The first shoes I ordered were from the Made for the Makers series, because of the composition of that shoe, exterior was a kitchen work friendly coated fabric. I don't cook or serve patient trays everyday, but there are times that I help with production, so I need some shoes that will be versatile. The Made for Makers Vans came in the mail, took about a week to receive, not bad, but they were too big. I wear a women's 9.5-10 normally, I ordered the unisex size of 8.5/mens. Too big. Mailed them back, pretty simple process to return. Took a couple of weeks to get the refund, in my debit card account. Ordered the regular slip-ons old skool style, in size 9 in ... Ordered the regular slip-ons old skool style, in size 9 in women's, way too small. I have mailed them back for a refund and am plotting my next move. I may order more of the same shoe in a 10, perhaps?? Great shoes but sizing is tricky. Guess I'll try to go to a Vans store to try on some styles and reassess.... Show more
