Amazing redux of the past and present
Very cool design on these, despite how I'm not really into the skater shoe puff stuff but these are just so well designed and flashy you don't notice it as much as you think you would, top down perspective is probably weirdest thing but from the side they look super fashionable. You can't beat that extra thick stripe either!Would love to see an edition from Vans of this without the puffy tongue and just normal dimensions like regular Vans, but keep everything else. Maybe my ultimate dream frankenstein model isKnu Skool - puffy skater tongue + Vault sidewalls and foxing * Style 36 toe cap stitching scaling = heaven haha.... Show more

Fell apart after wearing daily for 6months
these shoes are horrible and do not hold up under daily wear. I do a lot of walking for my job and thought skateboarding shoes would be durable. I was wrong. The insoles Began deteriorating and wearing thin only 3 months after purchasing them and not even 6 months after buying them - the bottom part of BOTH SHOES began pulling away from the actual shoe. I had to stop wearing them .... Show more

I have 3 pairs. Amazing.
Hands down the best shoe I have ever owned. I have always loved vans, but they never had a shoe like this until now. I wear them with everything. Way better than the OG old skool because these have a way more unique look. I love the thick tongue, thick laces, and just the all around chunky look. I have the white leather, navy and black, and these pink ones. If they release more colors, I will buy them.... Show more

Knuskool Kool
I bought these for my daughter In pink, and they are like the photos with a dusty shade not being stupid bright, and the panels are more of the hot pink as per the image. So far as pink trainers go, they're epic. And knu skool are INSANELY cool. Such padding around the foot, very much the OG skate shoe vibes I had in the 90s - 00s. Build quality and finish is absolutely on point, they're better than Nike and probably the best fit and finish for a trainer I've ever seen. Really impressed. The inner sole and comfort is like all vans, being flat and thinner inside so the thick padded comfort is around the foot and not under it.. I can't speak to that as my feet wouldn't fit inside the size I bought. To skate, ideal sure for that board feeling and the good stuff. I ... I wouldn't be loving it for a long walk though.. but that's what boots are for, or new balance etc. These are skate shoes which look cool, are made well, and attract an easy 5 star review. They're everything you hope they'll be from the photos- and then a shovel full on top. Decent.... Show more

Not the same. Would buy again but only for nostalgia
Bought my first pair in 2005 (puffier, early 00s version of this shoe). I begrudgingly threw them out around 2014-2016 because they smelled so bad that no effort to clean them worked anymore. They were a little faded, a little beat up....but otherwise still functioned and had held up FOR A DECADE. I've bought about 10 different pairs of vans in the past 5 years, (including these)....they wear out fast. You're lucky to get a couple months out of them before the glue no longer holds and they start peeling in multiple places on both shoes. Prices are up, quality waaaay down... Show more

Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for.
I had some feet and ankle swelling due to some health related issues and was having the worst time finding shoes that would fit but also feel like my taste and style. I loved that I was able to loosen the laces or even only lace the shoes halfway up, at certain times, and they still looked cool and no one knew the difference. I have received lots of compliments on them and they are so comfortable. I would definitely order another pair or 2 in other colorways.... Show more

Sent an Irregular Pair
I was very excited to get these however was quickly disappointed upon arrival. The left sneaker has several visible defects such as uneven front sole, incomplete rubber, and frayed stitching. Overall the sneakers are very hard and uncomfortable but when I tried them on at the sneaker store they were soft and comfortable. My left foot is smaller than my right foot yet the left sneaker feels smaller and tighter than the right sneaker. Vans should send their irregular sneakers to an outlet instead of to their online customers. I feel duped and disappointed.... Show more

So comfortable & look great
I got the bright pink ones & love them. At first I wasn't sure about the puffy tongue, but they look great on. Most importantly, they are very comfortable. Minimal break in time & they were comfortable out of the box. Easy to slip on & off without re-tying the laces. They come with white laces also. I was told that they have the comfy Cush technology which is my favorite. I'm getting other colors & slip-in's as well. These almost make up for Vans not making a mule Old Skool this year...almost.... Show more

The coldest shoe I've ever worn in the winter
Coldest shoe I've ever worn. The soles are thin and the insoles are thin. The wraparound rubber toe doesn't help with this. I'll bet these shoes are great in the summer, but they suck the heat right out of my feet.I took my shoes off 10 minutes ago and the insoles feel like they've been in the fridge. The chunky sides take a minute to get used to, but overall I like them. The insoles are not great. After standing for a few hours they start to bunch up like loose fitting socks right in the ball of my foot. So every time I step down, it's like I'm stepping down on a wadded up sock. It causes pain after a while. The poofiness of the tongues help keep them centered, so that's nice. They seem to be pretty water resistant. I've shoveled the driveway twice in them ... Too tight
I just got my knu skool shoes but unfortunately will be returning. The shoes are super puffy as described but the extreme puffiness hurt my foot. Either they run small or the puffiness is too much for my feet. The Tongue is big and fat and it was difficult getting my foot in then the tongue was squeezing my foot. The whole shoe is like a big firm pillow. They look cute but not as comfortable as pillows sound. Its more like my feet were being squished. I gave it 3 stars for the discomfort. You may want to go a 1/2 size up.... Show more
