Everything and More
I've been using these to hike. Also the rubber toe on the MTE make for perfect motorcycle shifting. I've been wearing them as a do all in the cold weather. Motorcycle and hike and walk and drive. I drive a city bus at night and these meet uniform requirements and cover temperature change. Super good cushion for all the gas and brakes. Really pleasantly surprised. Great all around gear. Thanks.... Show more

Fit great (at first)
I bought these vans MTE-2's three weeks ago. I wear a size 9 and they recommended sizing up. I tried them on (different color) in a store and 9.5 was perfect so I ordered them in black from Asos. They fit perfectly for a week, but as time went on, the right shoe started sliding off like it were half a size too big. Funny thing is, my left shoe fits fine. I don't think I'll be buying Vans MTEs again. They are warm. It's a shame they don't fit and I seem to have wasted my money.... Show more

Good shoe for medium/light duty
I've had these shoes for a little over 2 weeks now. I got them because I wanted something more water resistant to wear while biking. I also need support or my back and feet start to hurt because I'm 37 but have the body of a 73-year-old. As far as what I bought them for, they work just fine. Plenty of water resistance in the rain, but they're not waterproof. I spent 5 hours power washing a friend's driveway in 50° weather and by the end of it my feet we're cold and wet for about 2 hours. As far as support goes, the insoles they come with her decent. You could probably put some upgraded ones in and get more time on your feet out of them. The soles offer plenty of grip for what weather. Not so sure about ice yet. My major complaint is fit and finish. I spent $130 ... MoreI've had these shoes for a little over 2 weeks now. My major complaint is fit and finish. I spent $130 something dollars on these shoes and expected them to be a little bit more technical than they are, but mostly I expected them to be of decent quality. See my attached pictures for issues with fit and finish. I'm finished edges, glue spatter, stitches starting to come undone after the first wash, I expect more out of $130 pair of shoes.... Show more

Good soup (shoe)
Its a darn good shoe, good grippers on the bottom. Great for wet weather, even with the pleather/softer bits (the toe cover placement is really good! no wet toes!) No VANS sticker on the tag, kinda sad. Typical VANS sizing too, which I was worried about.... Show more

Great winter shoe!
Vans always puts out good stuff. Great shoe for winter if you don't want to wear a full boot. Keeps my feet warm and has good tread. Stylish too! I took off a point because the gusset for the tongue is made of a cheap feeling thin faux leather material. It feels like it could tear and compromise how waterproof the shoe is.Overall worth a sale price but probably not the full price.... Show more

I would buy this product again (and I have!)
I get a new pair of these each year and use them as my winter boots. Not because they wear out, but because I do a lot of different tasks and I do like a new pair to stay fresh throughout the winter months. I work in these, hike in them, and they are superb in inclement weather. Waterproof, rainproof, and the snuggly soft lining keeps my feet warm but not boiling hot! Do yourself a favour and get these if you are looking for the last style of winter boot you will ever need.... Show more

Kinda messed up...but
They literally wait til you make the order then put it on sale and extra 40% lol...like really?? And I saw somebody else that said the same thing when looking thru all the reviews... Other than that. I was really skeptical bc ppl said a lot of bad things. But my order was shipped within 2 days and these sneakers are waaaayy better than expected. Soooo comfortable and have like a fleece lining inside that keeps your feet super warm.... Show more

Pippin' rose gold accents
True to size. Standard width. It seems like the standard shoe size biotech then added insulation for the winter which makes it a bit more snug to slip on. Feels like this will compress a bit with time but if you're already a tight fit in vans size X, I would go up half a size. I'm true to size and I like the fit.Rose gold accents are awesome. They are warm, too warm to be inside on your feet all day, nice when out and popping into stores etc.Good shock and feel, typical of Vans. Love 'em.... Show more

Review of Vans SK8-Hi MTE-2 Waterproof Shoes
Despatch and international shipping was fast and pretty decently priced. Shoes were a bargain during their sale, and the shoes were as ordered and are very comfy. The MTE2s are great in Aus snow (fairly wet snow) and kept my feet warm and dry. Would suggest going the size up if you're between sizes, as the insulating layers makes the fit fairly snug.... Warm Winter Shoes perfect for colder days
I chose the Vans Sk8-Hi MTE-2 winter shoes for colder days working in the mountains. Due to event jobs, I stand in the snow all day. I wear shoe size 42. The shoes fit super well. The Vans Sk8-Hi MTE-2 winter shoes are really nice. The higher cut also keeps snow from getting inside the shoe. They kept my feet nice and warm even on colder days and while standing on snow all day. They also fit a thicker sock nicely. I wore them on a long trip in -20 degree winter conditions in Lapland in Finland and found them to be quite sturdy.I would really recommend the Vans Sk8-Hi MTE-2 winter shoes. If you are already a fan of Vans, you will definitely like these shoes for colder days. They keep you warm but also stylish.... Show more
