For us older skaters, Tony Alva is a name of one of the great pool-riding pioneers of Dogtown. I spent a year finding a good pool riding Alva board to import to Australia, and now have the shoes to match! The design is excellent, more vibrant in real life to how they appear online, so much so my wife hates them... always a good sign! They are comfortable, and most importantly, great to sk8 with. I have MANY pairs of Vans but these are my favourite purchase of the past few years.
