Vaseline Lip Therapy Lip Balm Tin Rosy Lips, 0.6 oz

I love all of this line! I’ve tried three of them and aloe is a good one. It’s really refreshing and smells nice. Soothes and moisturizes well and leaves my lips supple. I use it when I have cracks on my lips, or if I got sun burnt. I prefer the cacao butter one. One thing that’s a bummer is the tin container, I’m not a fan of it. Having to dip my finger in the container and put it on my mouth feels unsanitary. You can’t just use it on the go, you have to wash your hands first and that’s a bit of a hassle sometimes. Still pretty good though.

While I like Vaseline products in general, I found this one to disappointing. The signature features of Vaseline being its natural, moisture-sealing, low-key jelly made this lip balm a bit of a miss; the formulation was too greasy to stay on the lips for very long- especially overnight (which is when I like to slather vaseline over my face a la frank reynolds glistening body being birthed from couch). Since the jelly is more of an occlusive (something to seal in moisture) rather than a moisturizer in itself, when the product inevitably gets Iicked or rubbed off in the night it doesn’t leave much hydration in its stead. Also, but not least notably, the tin is as annoying as you would think it is, as if manufacturers are unfamiliar with the concept of nails.

It Comes in the cutest little container! Love the feel of the product. It is not sticky which is a huge turnoff for not only women but for men as well! I bought the rosy color. I prefer a natural hue to my lips and it gives your lips a slight shine, not glossy and leaves a satin finish. There is a subtle taste but it is not overwhelming. It is a pleasant taste. The only drawback is I don't like having to stick my finger in the container because of my long nails but if that doesn't bother you, this is a great product. Will be a repeat buyer!

I love this stuff! I like that the list of ingredients is so small, but it really moisturizes my lips. You can apply a thin or thick layer depending on how much you need and if you’re wearing it to sleep or during the day. It gives me a nice sheen, but I also like to wear it under my lip products. It smells good too! Only downside is the packaging. It’s unsanitary if your hands aren’t clean, and sometimes it’s difficult to open the jar if your hands are slippery!

Our oldie but goodie cult-classic Vaseline Lip Therapy in "Rosy Lips" is now in a chapstick like tube instead of the tin! While I do like the tin one, I much rather prefer having it in a bullet lipstick format! For me personally, it's just a personal preference is easier to toss this in my pocket or makeup bag then there's no need for me to apply with my fingers or worry about cross-contaminating the product! I also LOVE that it's made with Rose Oil, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Cranberry Extract Raspberry Extract! It has no taste a faint, tiny, barely there smell! My lips have been an issue for years, always super chapped and just looks gross. To date I haven't found anything that worked until now. I might be writing this review way too early as I only received it yesterday, but my lips are healed already. I actually just ordered another one as with my luck, every time I find a product I like it gets discontinued. I don't particularly like the scent because I can taste it when I drink something from the residue left on the glass, but I ordered the rosy again as I do like the tint. I'll update this review again in a month or so because it might be too good to be true.

Gutted. It's changed.

I used to have about 10 tins of this on the go at any one time. It's been one of the most constant things in my adult life:) I'd have one in my coat pocket, one on my desk, one by my bed, one in my gym bag, one in my handbag. Recently, after a couple of years (!) I noticed a couple were nearing the end. I bought 2 new ones. And I put one in my coat pocket. Went for a walk in the wood. When I went to use it and opened the lid it was everywhere. It was half melted from my body heat, all in the lid, oozing and the sides. This had never happened before. I tried to clean it up to create the lovely neat, smooth product of before. I even put it in the shed. BUT IT'S SO SOFT. It was melted after all. It's horrible.
