DO NOT put the cleaning fluid in the Vax water container as directed, or you'll never get it out of whatever it is you're trying to clean - because you're constantly spraying cleaner onto the object. Spray the material with a seperate cleaner, agitate, and use the Vax to apply *water only* to help RINSE the material clean and remove far more of the cleaning fluid. The self-cleaning feature is also great.

A great portable unit that is ideal for cleaning up spills and pet mess around the house. Comes with 2 attachments for hard flooring or carpets and upholstery. The spot cleaner is easy to dismantle for cleaning, I particularly like the hose self clean port. Lightweight plastic construction which is easy to carry when filled with solution. Easily fits into a 350mm x 400 mm x 250mm space for storage. Just nitpicking here in that the wash tool sticks out a little and could have been more compact. Overall a great unit for small area spills and pet mess, for larger areas and deeper cleaning a more substantial unit or professional will be required.

I am really impressed with the VAX platinum spotwash. This machine is really easy to asemble and use, and it's compact size makes it easy to store away. Not only is the spotwash lightweight, it is versatile. Great for cleaning car upholstery, lounge room suites, cleaning up spills on carpet's/rugs/ hard floors and it makes spot cleaning carpet on stairs easy where a full sized cleaner would be difficult to use. I highly recommend the VAX platinum spotwash it is great addition to my home cleaning kit. Thank you VAX and the Good Guys.

I found that this spot cleaner has strong suction and cleaning power leaving sofa and rug only damp. Solution used left a delightful fresh fragrance. Thankfully, it has a long cord so no extension needed making it easier to move around. Cleaning the machine was easy, I liked the hose self cleaning port. Couldnt believe how much dirty water came out, dont think I couldve got it any cleaner.
Was a bit unsure of how good the product would be and suitable for our needs. Turns out it is resonably portable (even with some water in the tank), allows for a decent amount of water to be sprayed on a srain, and definitely pulls up a fair bit of the water plus gunk into the waste tank. For small to med sized stains spills it meets our needs. A pleasant suprise. I do however use a seperate more rigid, longer bristle brush to go over spills to get the spray worked in before using the vacuum part.
I have used the bissell version many a time at work and this one is lighter, works just as well, has less accessories that you don't use any way. Dries adequately. Motor whilst not sound insulated is not that awful scream that hurts, It is also easier to fill and the hose clean function is easier for arthritic hands.Message to vax. can you make yourself first in the field that has on board storage for all the bits so I don't need twist ties to attach them too the machine.Have already recommended it for 2 reasons. 1 don't want to loan mine out and two I recon it is good.
Have only used on car mats so far and I found it very annoying how the solution sprays wider than the suction tool flooding the floor when doing the mats. The spray is also too far below the suction tool which causes areas on the carpet to be missed and when turning the tool sideways then the flooding of solution occurs off the edge.The clean water/solution tank is vertical with markings on the side for measuring height of water/solution BUT the tank has to be turned horizonal to be filled, absolutely illogical! Overall a disappointing design. Cleaning power/suction is not as strong as I expected.
I bought this to clean my fabric sofas & wish that I had hired a professional cleaning company to do it instead This machine is not impressive, the hose is far too short which makes reaching difficult. The sprayer spits liquid everywhere, it had to put towels all around the sofa to avoid getting the floor wet.The 250ml cleaning solution that came with the machine wasnt too bad but nowhere near enough, I had to purchase additional cleaning solution from the store but they had a different product Vax Platinum Pro which was very toxic. Overall I regret this purchase & would not recommend it to anyone.
While I had read and viewed many positive reviews, I was still hesitant at the capacity of such a small machine to clean dirty mats and lounge chairs effectively. I was pleasantly surprised as it was very easy to use and cleaned up my large lounge room mat and car seats far better than I had anticipated.
