It is recognized only by my Windows system but states there is no media in drive. My Mac system does not even recognize it. - no biggie. Expect that from flash media anyway after extensive use. But this was only used 3 or 4 times.

I bought this 64 GB flash drive to back up the system files on a new laptop. After comparison shopping, the reason I chose this drive is twofold: (1) because the price was most reasonable, and (2) because the connector can be retracted into the body to protect it. It completed the backup process without any problems whatsoever, and now will be placed into my archive file so that if there is a problem with the laptop, I’ll be able to boot it from this flash drive. Also, one minor point: It has a keychain loop – I don’t put it on a keychain, but I attach an identification tag to all flash drives. I would (and most likely will) buy this drive again when additional space is needed. Recommended.

I googled and found WalMart had the least expensive, allowing for shipping/handling. Delivery for free to store was the big plus, and I like my local Superstore.Got these two home and loaded them up. my ONLY complaint is that this model does not have a light that flickers to show if it's thru loading. That's a large negative when I'm in a hurry to back up my work and get to the safe deposit box.Other'n all that, I'd recommend these. At WalMart. Because everybody else's, with shipping and handling, came out to $12 or more, in several cases a LOT more: I coulda paid $27.91 for these exact same two USB's!! WHAT A CONCEPT!!

Works great for uses requiring a smaller disc space. I used it to install new firmware for my PS4. I only needed atmost 2gb, but for the small extra price figured I'd double the capacity for future uses or transfers. Only complaint is that when pushing device into unit sometimes the sliding port retracts into itself.
I was looking for an inexpensive flash drive for our meeting participants. It had plenty of storage space, but the sliding cover was very difficult to open and close. I had to wedge a letter opener into it to operate that feature. I would rather spend a little more money and have a flash drive that was easier to use.
This Verbatim flash drive and the 4GB Verbatim drive that looks just like it are very nice flash drives! The retracting slide works well use after use and the loop at the end is easy to use and sturdy. I put my flash drives on a lanyard I can sling around my neck so I don't forget them at work, and the loop has held up very well. The drive is ready to use as soon as you put it in, no popups to worry about or other things to click on. Just a lovely work tool that doesn't get in the way of actually doing the work!
My embroidery machine finds patterns on a small capacity stick faster than a large capacity one. I can only find these on line. I like shopping on this site, so this is where I look first when I need more.
Once you extend the drive, it won't lock securely into place. As you try to push it into a USB slot, the drive slides back into its case. Poor design in my opinion. This review I used from another of your customers was the same results I had. I would not use this brand again.
Using this flash drive to send some photos by mail. It held 33 jpeg, 33 tif, and 33 other format. Before it went in the mail I tried to insert drive in the USB drive of a smart TV. It would not stay open to be able to insert it. (The slide knob was on side against the TV back.) So if you thought you might want to insert into a TV USB port--IT WONT WORK FOR YOU. Otherwise I am trusting that it will work fine in the computer/laptop of the person receiving it.
Yes, there are ones with more capacity, better built and accommodate USB 3.0. I had one of these for a specific purpose that I won't go into, but it failed and I wanted to make a back up of the data so I would know where to find the info from the original one. I figured if it looks the same, I won't go looking for it. The price was right, and it fits my need. This may not be the right product for yours.
