The drive has become inaccessible. The LED still operates as if it is connected but the data is not readable. I am not impressed with this SSD. At least HDD would last years before failing, not months.

Meets all expectations
Excellent quality and performance for the price. I'm using it my Linux System without problems.I'm very happy with my purchase.
It comes pre-formatted with the outdated FAT32. For whatever reason, I could not reformat it with my Win 10 Home machine; It only got corrupted. And my Win 10 Home machine would not recognize it if I did a quick format on another machine. In the end, I had to reformat it for NTFS on a Win 10 Pro machine using full (non-quick) format. I had problems reformatting for exFAT and won't try again for now. So now, I cannot use it on MacOS for R/W operations. Verbatim website only has instructions for reformatting to NTFS using quick format. (In the past, I have found that if you change file systems for any drive, you have to do a full format. My problem with this drive is that I couldn't reformat it on my Win 10 Home machine and ended up with a corrupt drive.)
Perfect, compact store, great for transferring video and pictures between computer
Got this to replace a 128GB thumb drive. The main benefit I noticed was that there are no buffers when transferring data. From a few tests I was able to translate a 3GB file in 10 seconds and a 14 GB file in about a min (NOTE: This was all done with the included usb to usb c cable that is quite nice). Awesome build quality and the usb c port is great as far as compatibility goes. I was able to sustain just shy of 300 mb/s max during a transfer. This is rated at 430 mb/s so I assume that you could get higher speeds using a thunderbolt enabled port on a computer. Overall i love this and will highly recommend this product. This is likely not going to replace many peoples higher capacity hard drives but this is great for a fast mid capacity drive that is ultra portable and can be used on phones, computers and I pads. excellent item very fast read and write time
Used APFS to run a whole Monterey. Took a nose dive after 2 days. It now causes bus errors and hub errors using recovery tools on a PC controller card. Cant return cant find receipt.
