Vetafarm Cavy food is an excellent product. When you first open the bag it smells sweet and fresh just like hay. My guinea pigs love it. It has a great resealable zip which keeps the product fresh for ages.
My guinea pigs like this quite a bit. Bought the 6kg for better value after testing with the small pack. I mix it with Oxbow pellets and they still finish everything up.
This is a good product for Guinea pigs as you tend to waste less. With some other brands, they tend to put fillers in the mix which my Guinea pigs won’t eat! So I would recommend Cavy Origins food.
Beautiful food for piggies! My boys absolutely love the stuff and as soon as they hear the bag they start Wheeking because they know the good stuff is coming their way, and none is left behind! Fully balanced pellet that is perfect for any herd of piggies!
I usually buy this food directly from the pet shop, but decided to order off here for the first time. I'm sad to say half or more of the bag of pellets is basically crushed pellet dust. The bag had been crushed/tossed/something around. I am still feeding it, but yeah, half + that I'm scooping out is not even being eaten. Which is sad.
My piggies enjoy their biscuits, along side their fresh veg and unlimited oaten hay.They didn't like the other popular brand starting with O, but love origins. It has stabilised vitamin C and my vet has said my piggies are in excellent health and no sign of vitamin C deficiencyI buy the 6kg bag, great value for my herd of 11
Fantastic Australian product. Has a rich aroma and piggies love it. Nice colour and perfect sized pellets so there's not much waste due to dust from chomping. Recommend.
