It is a good functional lathe that has pleasantly surprised me in terms of performance. For all the projects as a do-it-yourselfer, it does a good job. The delivery & packaging was o.k. and without complaint!

Would buy the lathe again immediately. It's a pity with the 4 jaw chuck. You can't adjust each cheek individually.

The cast metal is good, it comes with hardened guides but it needs a lot of work to become usable.Lot's of community videos on how to fix upgrade and modify it is a plus.At minimum one needs to disassemble the full machine remove the protective oil and lubricate correctly, but what you most likely will end up doing is deburring metal from parts and modifying the lathe in order to properly work.Good for tinkerers that are willing to learn how to fix the lathe into a good working order, not good if you want to just use a lathe to produce parts.Photo album with all the story for my lathe and all the adventureshttps://photos.app.goo.gl/Nx5b19CaSwa68SFE7

Product arrived on time (Actualy quite fast).Packaging was excellent, no issues at all.Product seems of very good quality (considering the cost). All parts that matter look very well machined. Centers are alligned correctly. This size of lathe is the biggest "home lathe" at least for my understanding. Two issues (of very small importance):-The protective cover is very loose-The instruction manual is very generic and does not describe all attributes of the lathe (for example how to turn the tool support (a fuction that seems not available, but it is...)Overall I am more than satisfied from my purchase!
The box was delivered from Czechia to Romania by DHL, it arrived on time and undamaged. The only part that was damaged inside the box was the safety shield (cracked all over), but thats ok since I'm not planing on using it.I did a couple of test cuts, works without any problems on brass, aluminium, steel. Light cuts and patience and the finish is exceeding my expectations. As other reviews that I've seen on the web state, the machine does indeed need to be completely taken apart and cleaned thoroughly, every slide, every moving part, cleaned with wd-40 and/or IPA, re lubed with fresh oil.The ways need a bit of lapping but thats an easy enough task.I dont agree with people that criticize this type of lathe, in my honest opinion this mini lathe is for the novice ... MoreThe box was delivered from Czechia to Romania by DHL, it arrived on time and undamaged. The only part that was damaged inside the box was the safety shield (cracked all over), but thats ok since I'm not planing on using it.I did a couple of test cuts, works without any problems on brass, aluminium, steel. Hmmm... An interesting experience. This lathe is pretty cheap and lightweight, so don't expect too much from it.I don't think this lathe is still available, but this review will apply to much of what vevor sell in this price bracket.Advertised as having a MT4 spindle, I went to use a MT4 collett tool and found that it passed straight through. It is MT4 1/2. Not available Anywhere (that I can find). Vevor has refunded half the cost of the lathe but I am still trying to turn down a MT5 to 4 adapter (to MT 4 1/2 to 4). On this lathe it's not easy (too much flex/play in the slides and tool post). It can be done but you have to go slow and take great care with the pressure you put on the tool (yes, hand pressure ...you can get about 5 thou of movement with a firm hand. ... MoreHmmm... It can be done but you have to go slow and take great care with the pressure you put on the tool (yes, hand pressure ...you can get about 5 thou of movement with a firm hand. Beaware).Added to that is the fact that the spindle is not turning true; it is almost true at the narrow end but running out a thou at the wide end. This becomes quite visible one or two hundred mm out. So, all in all, don't expect it to be accurate. This will also need to be turned down correctly.Out of the box, the lathe was cutting a natural taper of two or three mm every 100mm of work. It needs to be bolted down well and chocked to get it turning parallel. Do check this or you won't be able to make anything properly. The tail-stock was fairly well centered, but after chocking the lathe it will need re-centering.The motor seems to have enough torque to turn case hardened steel even at under 300 rpm (40-50mm dia). Getting it to run at under 200 rpm is a touchy pot-luck thing. The speed controlling potentiometer is cheap crap, with dead spots all across the dial. It needs to be replaced (but that's easy enough).I also had to make up some new quills for the cross & compound slides. I'll post a picture of one of them. Unbelieveably badly made.It takes 10mm tools and has a 100mm center height. Getting it set up well will give you the experience you need to do almost anything. Watch some youtube vids on setting it up.All-in-all, I should have spent a little more and bought an Optimum. Visit a local machine shop if you live in a city ...you will be surprised what you can find. But I am happy to be learning on the Vevor.
Well packed, fast delivery, good comunication.I will try in future days, everything looks good.Top slide is maybe a litle bit weak.
This was hit and miss - but the basic casting is actually quite good so the issues will be fixable. The first thing was to remove the chuck, and then I discovered a lot of surface rust on the spindle. So I tore the whole thing down to clean it and found that there was paint on the spindle inside the headstock and even paint on the bearings and the bearing surfaces. The saddle is a poor fit as well, it can rotate ever so slightly on the ways so need to look into that. Weight is also an issue - it was supposed to be 80+ kg, but according to the shipment company it is 60 kg. Since I could easily lift it I am more inclined to believe the 60 kg figure, so 20+ kg of rigidity is missing. But I am happy anyways because the ways are good, so this will turn out well in the ens.
8 days shipping to Romania. Free shipping, no custom fee or vat. Delivered to door. Excelent. The lathe came intact with all pieces. Runs very smooth just from the box. I am very pleased
The packaging is exquisite, high-end and classy; it can be seen that the merchant is very attentive.
