The packaging copy makes a big deal about external aggressors that can lead to signs of aging, which ignores the fact that this product lists denatured alcohol as the third ingredient. It must be a significant proportion of the formula because the distinctive smell of alcohol is obvious upon application. I appreciate the limited ingredient list, but it's a shame that an ingredient with a potential to cause irritation is included in the formula at all. This product has a shelf life of 2 months after opening, but because this only contains 20ml of product instead of a standard 1 ounce (30ml), I doubt I'll have trouble using up this serum before it expires.As for results, after a month of use, I'd say that while I did see some slight improvement in brightness and a more even skin tone, this will not be a vitamin C serum that I will repurchase because it contains too much drying alcohol — there are too many alternatives on the market that don't have problematic ingredients.

I started using this 2 months ago having received a full sized bottle from Vichy Community. I put it on in the morning after I have washed my face with a gentle non foaming cleanser and used the brilliant Normaderm astringent toner. The Vit C serum is lovely. I have not found it to be sticky . I put it on face and neck and can say that after 2 months black marks from pimples have lightened considerably and generally my skin tone has evened out. It does not pill under my SPF 30 moisturizer.i let it dry completely before applying moisturizer. I have NC50 MAC skin tone so hyperpigmentation and dark marks after fiddling with spots has been a big problem throughout adulthood. The white muslin cloth I was using had streaks on it like very old faint fake tan and I realised the serum had oxidised on my face.
