I bought this for $70 thinking it was a good thermometer for my newborn. After using it, it kept telling me “error” and would give me false temperature readings. Don’t waste your time or money on this product. Go and buy an under arm thermometer that gives you the exact temperature and is also much cheaper.

This thermometer comes well wrapped and with clear instructions. Do follow them, for they soon make sense. Its readings are close to the mark. Easy to use after a little practice, the temperature reading is so quick that one wants to do it again and again just to make sure. And if it is for oneself, then it is either put away or admired. Only a quick sweep of half an inch above one eyebrow to its end and back gets the job done. The instructions are clear, yet they are different from contact free thermometers. It is so good when manufacturers get it right. The only extras needed are a spray bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol, like Isocol, and cotton buds to rub over the head to keep it clean and allow multiple use. This is my preferred choice of thermometer.

I purchased this so that I would have an effective thermometer that works when I need it, such as when I have the grandchildren and they become sick, perhaps suddenly. I was so tired of having the old fashioned type of thermometer that inevitably failed to read temperature correctly. I have promised myself to get one of these and now that I have, I can relax knowing that this tool will be effective.

I bought this prior to having my first baby. As a new mum I was nervous about a lot of things. I'm so happy I bought this as its so easy to use and accurate. I appreciate the colours on the thermometer face of it as its easy to read. Green meaning temp is good, yellow a little high and red very high temp. This is easy to quickly see if your child is good. It is easy to use when your child is squirming as it doesn't need to be place on skin.
I brought this product about a month ago, not long after purchasing this. Both my kids got sick with temperatures, to be able to press a button and with in seconds. To be confirmed that they had a temperature, is amazing. I read negative reviews before purchasing, but I still brought it. An I have had no problems with mine. So easy to use and my 3 and a half old loves checking his temperature.
I have been using this thermometer for the last months and I trusted it but today my son was feeling sick and when I checked his temperature it showed between 35/36 degrees all day but he was feeling hot . I took him to the gp and surprise his temperature was 39.5 degrees. I bring my thermometer to the doctor and I compare the results and the vicks thermometer still showed me 35 degrees. I waste my money
We bought this thermometer a while ago now, but it's been the greatest asset for us as parents! Our kids suffer from ear infections often and our only sign with our youngest is a fever (as he's too young to tell us yet)... Its so simple to use, takes about 3 secs to read their forehead so SUPER handy when they're asleep... Our youngest even took it 'swimming' in the dogs water and it still lives!!! haha 10000% would recommend to any parent!! (or anyone at that matter!! It's just so handy! we use it on ourselves haha)
Bought it for checking our baby. The results display variance, never get the same result everytime, and this rubbish DIDN'T WORK under 16degree environment. Keep showing error. We're living in Tasmania, with 9-10 degree usually in the winter. Expect this expensive products works well, turn out RUBBISH.WASTE OF MONEY. NEVER RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE if you care about your baby's health.
I purchased this for our special needs child who won’t tolerate a regular thermometer. I was looking to buy a Braun thermometer but unable to find any due to covid demand.The Vick’s works well and gives a reasonable gauge on temperature.I’m impressed chemist Warehouse is using paper bags rather then plastic - thanks.
We love it. it’s super easy to use With a new born. We’ve even been able to check the temperature of her milk with it and it’s super accurate. We know it’s accurate because we compared it with multiple other thermometers that we have. The colour changes with the numbers are fantastic and make it very easy to identify quickly our Bub is heating up. It’s now our favourite.
