The Vicks Non Contact Thermometer is super easy to use. Point at the center of someone's forehead and push the button. It gives you a temperature reading in seconds. I compared the temperature reading with my Braun temporal thermometer and there was only a .1 difference. As a parent, I absolutely LOVE the no contact feature. No more retaking temps because the kids are too fidgeting. I can quickly scan them and move along. It takes 2 AAA batteries, another plus as I don't have to buy those expensive little round batteries. One of my kids is pretending the thermometer is a police speed gun, so kids like it too haha!

Every time I try to use this it just says “Err” on the screen. Tried morning after morning and same thing. The instructions say operating temperature is 15 degrees upwards… so basically unusable in a Melbourne winter?!Anytime I want to use it now I have to warm it up with body heat for a few minutes, as it is winter so we rarely get over 15, especially in mornings when I’m more likely to use this.Will work better in warmer weather I guess. Had I known this, I wouldn’t have bought it, especially for the price. Expected better. If there was a store near me I’d have returned it.When it does work though it’s fine.

I ordered this thermometer because I needed something easy and accurate, and that's what it is. It quickly gives a consistently accurate temperature. Thankfully I have not yet needed to use it for an actual fever, but I've tested it out, and played around with the different settings and modes. The manual is thorough and easy to understand and using it is simple. I really like that is quick and no-touch. I have a special need daughter who does not like to sit still or have things touch her and certainly won't keep a standard thermometer under her tongue, so this is perfect!
I recently had the opportunity to use the Vicks Infrared body thermometer. With all that is going on today in terms of health it is always great to keep thermometers on hand. I love the fact that this thermometer is small and lightweight. It comes with a set of batteries to get you started. The thermometer is easy to set up and program. It has a set mode, memo mode and a mode mode. You can set it to beep after having your temp read. It reads in about 3 seconds and I find that it is just as accurate as a manual thermometer. This product is small enough that it can fit in a small purse, a backpack or even a small drawer in your home. This is a product I love and I highly recommend it anyone who is looking for quick and accurate temperature results.
This thermometer is loaded with so many great features. My favorite is the silent mode it was so helpful a few weeks ago when my son was sick, I had to monitor his body temperature I was able to do it silently without waking him up every few hours. Another feature that I like is the memory: you can save the last temperature reading. I also love that I can choose to use Celsius or Fahrenheit as I am coming from a country where we use Celsius I am so used to it that what usually use. I love how easy it is to read and understand the results, using the light feature : the light will be green for normal body temperature, red for fever and yellow for slightly high. The no contact feature is also great because I don't have to clean it after every use.

I am a nurse and I use this during my medication pass and throughout my shift to assess vital signs. It is lightweight, fits comfortably in my uniform pocket, and the temperatures are always accurate. Its also priced wayyyyy cheaper on eBay than in the stores. I purchased mine on eBay for around $17 and I saw the exact same thermometer at Walgreens for $55. I recommend this to anyone who needs an affordable, accurate, thermometer.
The Vicks Non Contact Infrared Body Thermometer is exactly what I was looking for. Besides it being accurate, it is the most easy to use thermometer out there. It allows for a quick reading, which is especially helpful with children and elderly. The design and quality is great! Also, it is easy to hold and use! It stores temperatures and indicates if a fever is present with color, other than it giving the temperature itself. I would recommend this thermometer to all parents and caretakers. An absolute must have in every home.
This is a very reliable Infrared Body Thermometer. Both my young sons were recently sick. This was a quick and easy way to take their temperature. It was effortless. It took about 2 seconds. It also changed color from green to yellow to alert me they have a low grade fever. I am assuming if they have a higher fever it would be red. It also has a mute button so you can do it when they are sleeping and not wake them with a beep sound. This also does surface temperature as well so you can see the temperature of the bath water is. This is a great non contact infrared thermometer to have at home.
