Vicks VapoShower Shower Tablets 3 Pack

I’d like to review it. In theory it should be really great. With Vick’s long history of being the go-to treatment for colds and congestion I figure no better time to try these than when I had COVID. Only I can’t. Couldn’t get the flipping plastic bag open! The only way is to use scissors. Not I’m not sure who’s doing arts and crafts in the bathroom but I don’t normally keep a pair of scissors in the bathroom. Can we maybe think about a redesign of the packaging to make these easier to open? I’m sure the elderly customers would appreciate that since they’ve known and used Vicks longer than anyone else.

I purchased VICKS VapoShower Soothing Vapors and I like them very much. The box I bought at BJ's came with nine shower tablets. You place one of the tablets on the shower floor. And if you want that maximum soothing vapors, you place the tablet in direct stream of water (as directed on the box). I enjoy my water very warm, VICKS VapoShower tablets infuse the shower with those soothing vapors. The tablet dissolves cleanly as mentioned on the packaging. I kind of switched it up a bit since you are not to place the tablets in bathwater. I filled a small bin that I have with boiling water and dropped a tablet in the water. I always keep these in stock in my house. Great for whenever you are congested. Just drop a tab into the bathtub when you’re running the shower and it’s like a big menthol steamer in your bathroom. Not overwhelming though. Infuses with the shower steam. Completely dissolves. Non-medicated. Always helps me immensely, even just will allergies. Absolutely recommend.

Breath at last, thank god, breath at last!

these things are a Godsend! when your nose is soo plugged that breathing becomes near impossible and even a dirty diaper doesn't faze you! Get the shower as hot as possible and stand with it between your feet. 2 minutes later? Breathing at last! After your shower, towel yourself well, spread a bit of vapor rub on your chest and under your nose, and take your meds. Please be kind to your bed-mates....the vapor rub WILL NOT let you cuddle, but, by morning you should be doing better.

Makes showers extra special

I like using these as a treat now and then to make my showers more spa-like. The herbal aroma is very nice and lingers in the house long after the shower. I don’t think they’d work well as a decongestant unless you put your face right up to the steam. You’ll want to play around with placement; depending on where I place the tablet it might dissolve too quickly or not at all. There’s a spot on the edge of my tub that works better than the floor. Also, make sure you have some scissors handy; the individual packages (presumably designed to keep out moisture) are impossible to open with bare hands.

The most expensive worthless product

Lets start with when you pick these up off the shelf and realize you are basically paying 2 dollars a tablet. Then you get your shower going and undress only to realize you cant open the package without using your husband's nose hair scissors. Then you put it in your steamy hot shower to smell almost nothing that dissolved in about two minutes. Ive used body wash that smelled stronger. The whole point of this is lost. I could get past the price and packaging if the product worked but its 3 strikes for me.

This product works wonders.

My three-year-old caught a viral infection so I bought these vapors in hopes that they would help him feel better. He was breathing clearly and was so relaxed that he fell asleep just a few minutes after his shower, which is not like him. The smell is noticeable enough to clear the sinuses, but it’s not an overwhelming smell. I really liked that because strong smells give me headaches. The tables are large and almost the size of a flattened detergent pod. They also come individually packaged and sealed in a strong baggie to prevent weathering during storage.
