My third Victa line trimmer in 6 years. They always die right after the 2 year warranty ends. Never again !

This seems to be a common problem.... died just after the two year warranty ran out ( how convenient ) and of course the cost to repair it is more than just buying a whole new trimmer.Surprisingly, I've had the cheapo brands in the past which both perform AND last much longer!!!! Very disappointedTo add, bunnings response is " take it to a repair shop or just buy another one", talk about crappy service to rub salt in the wounds!!

Its been great used a few times now and done the job nicely !
I brought this 2 months ago, it started out great, was nice and powerful, got through some overgrown edges and never skipped a breat. But now its having engine problems, it's stating to loose power, it might work on high for 10 mins but then it will loose power and struggle to cut the grass, also the head will randomly start spinning even though I'm not holding the button, which is a huge safety issue. Will be returning back to bunnings for repair and will look to buy a better quality line trimmer instead.
I purchased this about two and a half years ago so its just out of the warranty period but now the flexi driveshaft cable snapped. Tried looking for parts but hard to find, will buy compatible attachment which will cost around half the price of a new weedeater. Everything else is still working fine but had to replace the bumphead already due to the other no longer letting line out. I had a cheaper weedeater last longer than this.
Just out of 2 year domestic warranty and pawl inside start reel broke. BUNNINGS does not sell parts and service centre says advises can only buy whole new engine from Victa. Very minor part but economical to junk an otherwise functional item.
I actually bought my Snipper a while back. Stored unused just past the warranty period. Found the tank leaked but I've sorted that at my own expense. Literally just ran out of line and went to reload the Oregon fast load head and was stumped as to how it was loaded.... Find out online to reload these you need to spend a fortune from now on for cartridges (had no cartridge to begin with). So now I'm up for a replacement head that really should have been the original one.Only good speed loaders are those that can be reloaded with string and not cartridges!
