The price of these knives was so good that I didn't expect much--and I got what I paid for. To begin with, the set looks great in my kitchen; it coordinates with a Cuisinart set of larger knives that I already had. The handles are colorful, and I love that: Using them brings a smile to my face. But if you're looking for a knife that's sturdy enough to stand up to every steak and cut of meat, these may not be the ones. In fact, I now use them largely as paring and all-purpose knives for small jobs. But there's nothing wrong with that.
