Victorinox Forester Swiss Army Knife - Wood

Brilliant penknife. Well worth the money and very good quality. Quite large though so not legal to carry around.

13 years and still going strong

Bought mine 13~ish years ago in Switzerland. It's still going strong today, this penknife has come in handy more times than I can count over the years. I've used every single tool and its taken a serious beating. I have no doubt it will keep going for another 13 years and probably longer.

For your picnic, but not for woods

I received a beautiful knife with typical Victorinox quality - except for one thing; after just few whittling sessions the handle scales are wiggling. I have now concluded that wood is too lively and organic material to be put on folding knife without pinning it. Don’t expect this knife to be able to take any outdoors tasks without falling apart from slight torque.

Great Knife

I have owned this knife for 27 years. I lost the little pick and tweezers tool years ago but have kept it in my tool box and used it regularly.I thought it was time to buy a new tool to go in my emergency grab bag which would double as a saw, can opener, cork screw, bottle opener and also have a decent, secure, durable and above all else, sharp main blade.I eventually narrowed my choices to two, a Gerber and a Leatherman but every time I found myself comparing the sharpness of the blade and the durability and comfort of the handle shape to my trusty old Swiss Army Forester. So there you have it. No need to waste my cash on a new tool.Just transferred my Swiss Army from my tool bag to my grab bag where it now sits attached by green para cord to the shoulder strap ... MoreI have owned this knife for 27 years. I would love the saw blade to lock but would only use in a dire emergency anyway but I know it would be as trustworthy as the rest of the knife. Brilliant bit of kit from a trustworthy brand.

Lovely product

Bought to replace a well used standard Forester which is missing, presumed lost. Thought I’d spend a bit more and end up with something a bit different rather than a direct replacement. Glad I did. Not much opportunity for outdoor pursuits during the Covid lockdown of 2020, but I’m sure this knife will serve me well when we’re set free again.

The forester: cut, saw, and craft in style

You really cant beat SAKs. One of the best sharp out the box knives you can buy. Of the larger sizes, this one, the forester is definitely my favorite, if anything the only one better is the one handed version. The essential tools for camp/outdoor crafting. Armed with a saw a hearty blade the can/bottle openers and the ever useful awl and corkscrew! Not overly complicated with tools you dont need.

careful, not the same as other foresters

This is a replacement for my much loved red forester I had for the past 17 years (I lent it to someone this summer and never got it back). Nearly identical in every way. The only things unfortunately lacking are the toothpick and tweezers, both of which I have used untold times, the tweezers have removed many splinters, and ticks, over the years.
