My only complaint is that the handle of the knife feels kinda cheap. It's fairly thin plastic and not very heavy. The red logo seems like it's going to be scratched off without much effort.Otherwise the knife is well made. Opening and closing it is a bit stiff but I imagine with some use that will change.Shipping was UPS and it took a week to arrive. All in all I feel that the knife is a bit over-priced. What I paid after everything seems at least $5 too much. A coupon code or some kinda discount would have been great.

Like the knife, the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is it is stiff to open or close. And I mean stiff, even after oiling it well and sitting a day or two it is still stiff. I’m hoping, with time, it’ll loosen up a bit. Overall seems like a good knife. I would buy again.

I am an old fellow, many pocket knives. Have carried and used a Tinker for 45 years, often daily and, a hundred backpack trips. Still totally tight, as new, except blade wear. Also lots of Case, Boker and others. Nothing seems to have the precision of the Victornox SAK. I have never liked their aesthetics much, but functionally..... just in another class. The latest, large single blade is fine, what I expected. But, the liner lock should have been on the right side of blade. And, really stiff to operate. Otherwise fine. Strong, and very sharp.\I have concluded with this knife, that in folders, smaller blades are just as useful and easier to carry in the pocket. For blades of 3 inches or longer, a fixed blade knife probably better, just due to strength.

This design has changed. The metal liner is from the "one handed trekker".So there is a metal riser right where you're ring and pinky fingers go.?!?! Why? It hurts. Not like I'm a baby, but like I'm a freakin man who can't use this knife 'cause some clown redesigned it.Also, the provision for the lanyard ring, is more sharp than it used to be, so when you bear down while cutting, not only does the liner bite into your hand, so does the lanyard ring provision. This used to be a great knife design. Very light, and very sharp, and very useful. Now? I just can't believe it.
Disappointed with this knife. I specifically wanted a single handed opening knife. Whilst it is technically possible to do so, I have to alter my grip halfway through the process making it awkward and I have dropped the knife once during the changing position. The closing method is counterintuitive for a right handed person with the release bar requiring upward not downward pressure which would be the more logical and easier way to shut the blade. The blade itself is fine as I would expect. All in all a 3 out of 10.
Hmmm, have used Swiss Army knives for literally years man and boy! I’ve also been very happy with all my purchases until now although the build quality is still there the knife feels flimsy and certainly isn’t one hand opening ( I realise knife is stiff when new!) to stiff to open with one hand (I’ve big hands) and is still to tough to open one handed, but my biggest gripe is the lock is on the wrong side!! You have to put the knife in other hand to unlock! So calling it a one handed knife isn’t exactly correct in my humble opinion,,,,,,,,,
I wanted a simple knife to open and flatten boxes with - this fits the bill. It’s light, and lies nicely in the hand. The contoured plastic handle has a very slight texture to it which is pleasant, and comes equipped with small tweezers and a toothpick. Blade is sharp out of the box, and I like the peace of mind the lock brings. However, closing it with my right hand is a bit difficult because you have to pull the lock towards you before being able to close the knife. This is easier with my left when you can push the lock away from you, then close the knife. One-handed opening is smooth though. All in all, a good, well-priced simple knife I would recommend to others.
The knife is not too small nor too big. Just perfect. The weight is so light, doesn't matter the size. It can be barely felt in the hands. Beautiful black finish with a classical red/white Victorinox logo. Locking mechanism, also can be set at 90 degree angle just before folding it fully. Knife has a tootpick and tweezers at the end of the handle. Comes extremely razor sharp straight out of the box. Maintenance is minimal and easy. Outstanding and traditional Swiss quality.
i was really hyped for a locking germany legal knife, especially from victorinox, sadly the blade stands above the handle just enough to easily open and lock it one handed (which is confusing since the blade doesnt do so on other big knife models). my model was poorly sharpened, the locking mechanism standing above the handle aswell makes the ergonomics quite poor with a smaller than expected blade. the centering is... not, but im pretty sure thats intended as if there was still a layer next to it, so cant complain there. and yet i love the looks enough to use it, as always i ordered a toothpick, tweezer and lanyard in fitting colours along with it.
Counting what functions I used every day of my Swisschamp I discovered that I used the knife the most, so 5y ago the Sentinel OHT was the logic choice. It has great dimensions and weight, goes unnoticed in my pocket, but comes in handy several times per day. The one hand feature is a must for rapid deployment of this tool. The toothpick is a must for me. As backup with more tools I have my 20yo Swisstool (use it also as a hammer, still looks like new) in my backpack. Maybe I'll look into the Sentinel OHT clip, because it will have a fixed place in my pocket.
