I bought two of these units. This is the best option for those who are looking to expand their system in the future. These inverter/chargers are designed so you can add up to 5 more units for a total output of 150 amps at 120 volts AC. If you want a 240-volt AC system, no problem, just reprogram them with your laptop. Not only are the firmware upgrades free, they are easy to do with your laptop. Max was the best at helping me put together a system when I did not know that much about solar to start with.

I purchased these for the voltage range capability. I have nickel iron batteries and my bank can range in voltage safely between 8 and 20v. This is the inverter that gets closest to using the full range. The surge capacity is great. I have been running saws and compressors and my lights do not even blink. I have 2 I plan on setting up for 2 phase power which was another big want.

I would recommend this product.

Met expectations

The purchase and shipping was great. This unit is so quiet, just a click noise if I turn on my generator and that should be expected. I'm glad I stepped up for the 3000 watt inverter. I would purchase this again if I had to do it over.

What can I say? This unit is quite frankly magic in a box. I purchased this to replace a smaller inverter as well as the factory battery converter/charger in my travel trailer. It keeps my batteries topped off when connected to shore power and allows us to use most of our appliances when running on battery power. One suggestion I'll pass along to others interested in this unit is to pair it with a couple of the VE.Bus/MK3 USB adapters. This will allow you to have one connection for configuring the unit with a Windows laptop and a second for connecting it to a control unit. Victron makes a Color Control GX unit that you can purchase for ~$500 to monitor your setup, OR you can download the Venus software image and do the exact same thing with a Raspberry Pi for < $50.
