For the money, this is a really feature-packed projector. I was looking for a projector that has 3d support. Most of the cheaper projectors, the "bluetooth" ones don't support it. I couldn't understand why they had every other feature, but didn't add 3d in. However, this Viewsonic projector does support 3d and it looks really great. As far as the usual projector stuff, this projector has decent brightness -- it looks ok even in a room that isn't pitch dark (we had a few lamps on). It looks nice in a dark room. If you're looking for a super bright picture in a bright room, you might want to consider a larger, more expensive projector. As far as 3d, to produce a 3d image you need three things. If you're looking for a super bright picture in a bright room, you might want to consider a larger, more expensive projector. As far as 3d, to produce a 3d image you need three things. A projector (like this one) that supports 3d and projects the 3d image, you need a player that can play 3d disks (I bought an LG Bluray player that plays 3d disks) and you need 3d glasses. For glasses, I've seen a few people say you need to buy the Viewsonic PG-something glasses. Well, those glasses don't appear to be made anymore. However, don't worry, you just need to buy any regular old active shutter glasses that are for DLP projectors. Buy one of the brands that say they support all kinds of DLP projectors--this Viewsonic won't be in their supported list, but they will work with this projector. I had a little difficulty with the glasses, probably because I was turning them on incorrectly. But, if you mess with them, you'll get it. Also, another nice thing about this little projector is the sound. Wow! Its very impressive for such a little box. Its good enough to use to watch a movie, unless you're really after that thunderous sound of a movie theater, then you could explore the bluetooth option and connect a bluetooth speaker to this projector. There's a few things I don't like. First, if you use the built in arm as a base, on mine at least, the display is crooked. Also, the projector is so light that the HDMI cable will move it. So, to get the projector properly placed, you need to mess with the HDMI cable or even tape the cable down to the table where your projector is. I mostly solved the problem by attaching a tripod to the projector -- your tripod will just screw into the bottom of the projector. A pretty cool feature. It does have the ability to play movies from micro SD cards and external hard drives. I haven't messed with any of those. Its also connects to WiFi--that went very smoothly for me. That's nice in case there are any firmware updates, you can get them instantly over WiFi. So, overall, this is a really great budget projector with alot of features. One of its biggest strengths is that it supports 3d--very, very rare in this price range.

Out of the box it starts itself and with a little inspection becomes easy to operate. It lacks some fine internal adjustment availability in the firmware for photo viewing rotation and always powers up on internal memory, which there is no data, not even op instructions which I would have liked. allows for a fast setup. My use has a led to a weakness in the door panel to plugs, the plastic hinge straps do not stand up to the pressure needed to open the door and one broke inside a week of casual use. The audio is amazing, that battery life is sufficient, and the remote is priceless.(don't loose it)

Got this on a holiday sale for under $300 from my local micro center. After reading many reviews if cordless style projectors, I went with the M1+ . Im very happy with the 480p output and would say that the claim of 4-6 hour run time on the cordless feature is pretty accurate. The app feature on this works very well. No need to plug in my device when i need to stream, YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon prime videos. I did opt for the Microcenter 2 year warranty for 29.99. Projectors can become fickle with age, so I thought it to be a no brainer. Ps.. the onboard Harman kardon speaker is phenomenal

Summary the GOOD: 1. Portable 2. Sounds ok the BAD: 1. NOT bright enough 2. Battery life is short 3. Very loud 4. Low resolution (as advertised) 5. Sound and images out of sync 1. BH advertised this product saying it's 300 lumens which drew my attention and it turns out that it is not ANSI lumens, it's LED lumens, I found it after I notice is not really bright. On ViewSonic's EU website: (https://www.viewsonic.com/eu/products/projectors/M1+.php ) Even though Viewsonic has a dedicated webpage trying to explain why LED lumens measurement is always higher than ANSI lumens, I found my eyes perceive it in a completely different way. It is not bright enough for day use, while at night it's not too bad. I am not trying to accuse BH is doing false advertisement, nor Viewsonic. It's so sneaky in this industry that all consumers need to be a real expert to spot these kinds of grey area. 2. The built-in battery will only last around 90 minutes and it will drain on when shut down. I watch 2 episodes of Raised by Wolves through a USB-C connection and another 2 episodes via Air-Play(an apple wireless streaming method). The battery ran out at around 90 minutes. Then I read the manual, 6 hours battery should be in battery saving mode which will give you an even lower brightness which is not usable even in low light condition. 3. When the product is charging and playing, it becomes very loud, the audio surely and offset the noise a bit, but still, it is loud. I used my apple watch for a very rough measurement, it read 60dB when near the machine. I am not sure that reading means anything to an average consumer, better than nothing. 4. WVGA resolution is a thing! I've read some reviews saying even it's just WVGA, you won't spot it from distance. Well, you definitely can spot the pixels after spoiled by all these high tech screens, your eyes are trained nowadays. I went to a friend's home at Saturday night and they have a 60-inch 4K TV from LG, I immediately noticed the difference, and I asked can we just play the Raised by Wolves for 3 minutes? They agreed and I learned how much detail I missed using this projector. You can see those pixels at glance, and it's really really bad. 5. When connected using USB-C, the image and audio are out of sync by around 0.5 seconds, both my wife and I found it hard to enjoy anything due to this synchronize issue. I can not make recommendations as this is my first projector purchase in my life and I found so many disappointments. Look somewhere else at least.
This product was purchased brand new and in less than 3 months the internal battery stopped working properly. The unit would not work without being plugged into the wall. I sent back for a replacement battery only to get the unit back with a functioning battery and faulty software. Now the unit doesn't allow me to move files from my usb onto the internal storage like it once did. ViewSonic tech support has asked me to chase my tail troubleshooting an issue that apparently can't be fixed. Good luck getting your money back or having them replace with a different item (even if you offer to pay extra for the difference).
I bought this as a 'used' but fully tested with only slight usage marks that had passed the quality checks. It arrived but it didn't work out of the box. The LED lights simply did not come on. This was not tested and did not go through any quality checks. I assume the previous person had exactly the same problem and returned it. Galaxus simply put it back on the shelf and then sold it on to me. As a result I was not able to do the movies while camping with my children, I had to take half a day off work to get buy a box to pack and ship the product back, 25chf of my money and now I am told they must send it to the manufacturer and that "arisen costs such as examining the product by a qualified technician, will be charged by the service partner even if you abstain ... MoreI bought this as a 'used' but fully tested with only slight usage marks that had passed the quality checks. A very costly and time intensive 'saving' by trusting Galaxus quality team to their word. My advice - NEVER buy used from Galaxus!! It is not tested and is highly likely an already faulty product that you will end up paying for in time as well as money! In this case all they had to do was open the original returned package and press the button to see the lamp come on. FAIL!
While the device was beautiful on the form factor, i didn't got the opportunity to get a full enjoyment of the product due to faulty battery, did not retain charge and had to return. Two observation the return process is so slow, excellent design although no USBc charging? Bulky AC charge?? What in the world? On this time and era? Who carry stuff like that? They should allow other forms of charging for emergency when you dont have access to the charging block
Ios 14.x.x or newer will not mirror/aiplay to these and tech support has been....lackluster. Ios prompts for a airplay code, like bluetooth might, the projector doesnt display a code. Essentially first they insinuated i had an apple tv didnt know about. Then they left me hanging for days after i sent screenshots showing i dont make this stuff up. They continue to ignore my initial assessment the issue us with ios 14.x or higher. Sigh.
I was sold a clearly broken device. Bluetooth and WiFi barely existed or worked. Then after 48 hours of not a lot of use the battery died and did not allow the device to power up or even power on. Kogan left me 2 weeks before getting it to me when they promised 1-2 days dispatch in their advertisement which is deliberately misleading. Do yourself a favour and really consider if you want all these problems from this retailer. I’d shop around as I believe Kogan is selling unfit for purpose merchandise
I was pleasantly surprised when i discovered my M1+ was actually an Android 6.0 operating system, although out of date, it is still compatible with Kodi Matrix v19, just need to download the 32bit APK file directly from kodi to a microSD card, insert the card, go into file manager on the projector and run it - installed perfectly and is the best way to play library media content through the USB ports. Sound doesnt have any base, not as good as my UE Boom BT speaker but - its loud and doesnt distort at high volumes so is good enough for dialogue movies. Using my Samsung S10 via USB-C cable i was able to run Samsung DEX which I could leverage if i have more demanding video formats that the Projectors GPU can't process.
