The monitor, once correctly configured, is fantastic. No dead pixels, smooth and sharp, and great colors. my model also has the least backlight bleed of any IPS monitor I have owned, and I have owned quite a few including other two other Viewsonic models. Of course, this is a lottery so your millage may vary. Also, it doesn't mention it anywhere, but seems to be entirely Gsync compatible. My 1080 has had no artifacts and seems to be functioning perfectly.Overall, I am extremely impressed with the features and quality of the monitor for the price. So now the MANY Minor problems I had...Only one HDMI port supports 144hz. I ran all over town to find a display port to use it. Turns out you needed to plug into HDMI 2 to enable 144hz...The monitor did not switch to full range mode automatically. I have never experienced this in any monitor, but despite being set to auto, the monitor was running in limited range mode making it very dim with much worse color accuracy. It took me a second to notice something was wrong but the difference was incredible once I figured out the problem. Very simple fix but I can certainly see that as a potential problem for less experienced users. And finally, the colors out of the box at native are insanely warm, almost like a green haze over the monitor. Thankfully, the cool preset is MUCH better (Although still warm I think) so I would highly recommend that setting. There are other minor issues that I honestly don't care about. The stand is not very adjustable but thankfully it is very sturdy unlike many other budget monitors. The OSD controls are not great, especially considering you will need to use them to change the settings mentioned above, but it gets the job done. The speakers are not impressive and I would have rather they left it out if it could have dropped the price further. Finally, it is not true 10 bit as advertised, however this is not a huge issue for gaming. All that's left is to see how it holds up over time...

This monitor is really great, I'm very happy happy with it so far. The colors are bright and vibrant, I'm also happy to see the freesync/g-sync implementation is much better than my previous monitor. Everything just looks and runs great right out of the box. The stand is pretty basic, but it's easy to get around that with a vesa mount, and the menu buttons are a little more clunky to use than a toggle switch, but overall it's not a big deal. The speakers are a bit weak as well, they're just enough at max volume if you're sitting close without much ambient noise. Despite those limit flaws I'm extremely happy with the display and I would absolutely buy this monitor again. Also, as a side note, at the time of writing this monitor is out of stock everywhere and has been ... MoreThis monitor is really great, I'm very happy happy with it so far. I do appreciate that B&H allows items to be ordered on backorder, if this wasn't the case I would have needed to spend significantly more to get a similarly high quality monitor. In my case it took around 4 weeks after ordering for the monitor to arrive, and it was well worth the wait.

I bought this monitor a week ago. The Innolux panel is great and the same one used in some more expensive models like the Gigabyte AD27QD. Viewsonic had to cheap out in other areas in order to hit this price point, however. Ergonomics aren't good, and it appears that the controller that is in use in this monitor is pretty poor. Like others, I've experienced the flickering issue at native resolution/refresh rate. This is fixable by making a custom resolution. In addition, Viewsonic advertises 10-bit color, and the panel is definitely capable, but you can only do it using HDMI and not at native resolution/refresh rate. This can be resolved by using HDMI 2 and lowing the refresh rate. Users shouldn't have to do so much to use the monitor without issues.Gaming and ... MoreI bought this monitor a week ago. The panel has great, accurate colors and the response times are really good on the right overdrive settings.Overall, I'd recommend this monitor...with caveats.
Pros:+ Specs: Flat IPS, FreeSync, 27, 2560x1440, 144Hz, VESA mount+ Beautiful Color. It's better than my $700 ViewSonic IPS monitor from 3.5 years ago.+ Great consistency between 7 monitors tested. Only 1/7 required slightly different settings to get the colors to match. This included turning on a blue light filter and increasing the brightness slightly.+ No dead pixels on 7 monitors tested.+ Excellent value for the price (~$300 mid 2020).Cons:- They require a lot of setting tweaking on the monitor and computer to properly game with them. I bought this monitor around August 2020, at the time i was comparing three different monitors, the cheapest 1440p 144hz monitor were AOC CQ27G2 @250$ with VA panel, Acer Nitro VG271U Pbmiipx @300$, and Viewsonic @300$.I ended up buying the ViewSonic because it have a IPS panel and performs similar to the AOC VA panel monitor for $50 more (IPS have better viewing angle, color, black uniformity, low black color smearing etc when comparing to VA; VA have better contrasts). Also not going with the Acer one because the reviews shown more ghosting in general. When I received the monitor, it was exactly what I was expected; great color, deep blacks, high color uniformity, just what you would expect for a mid range IPS panel. Also not going with the Acer one because the reviews shown more ghosting in general. When I received the monitor, it was exactly what I was expected; great color, deep blacks, high color uniformity, just what you would expect for a mid range IPS panel. Aside from all the things I learned from reviews, there were two things that surprised me:1. MINIMAL backlight bleeding and amazing black color uniformity! Stressing on the minimalI literally had this monitor displaying a full screen black background and compared it side by side with an older monitor that's turned off. It was barely distinguishable that the ViewSonic monitor is turned on. Only the top right corner had slight backlight bleed that gave it away. I've gone through probably 6-7 monitors in the past 5-6 years, and this is the best one so far in this area. I might had gotten lucky with this unit, but it seems there are some other reviews that echo this finding as well.2. SpeakerI know most people laugh at speakers built in to monitors, but this monitor's speaker is loud, and doesn't sound too bad. For a headphone user that only uses speaker once in a while, this is definitely enough and usable. I can use this for discord without any issues. I had two other monitors with speakers before, and both were hard to hear music, and cannot use for chatting in discord etc.
I got this monitor in 2020 when there were very little options for me to go due to the pandemic. It was a great monitor that its price by that time with 2k@144hz excellent for gaming. But soon when I use 144hz it started to show flickers and stripes so I have to reduce the frame rate to 120hz, and later it happened to 120hz as well. I sent it to the manufacture and they fixed it for me. But recently it starts to go black intermittently, only half year after last repair!! If I have to send it back to the manufacture so frequently why shouldn't I save those mail fees and get another monitor from BETTER brands like Samsung or ASUS. ViewSonic really disappointed me...
My wonderful wife bought this for me as a Fathers Day gift! I have not stopped thanking her for this wonderful monitor.GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070Received via UPS solid packaging kept this monitor in perfect shape for shipping. Out of the box, the first thing I noticed is that the stand seemed a little flimsy and how light weight the monitor felt. Setup as monitor one and my old monitor as 2. I recently transitioned from a smaller screened laptop to a desktop, and I absolutely love this monitor. The picture is crisp and the 144hz is nice to have with a 2k resolution. If you're using HDMI, however, note that the manual seems to list the HDMI ports in reverse order. You may not be able to select 144hz if you plug into the wrong HDMI outlet, so if you're having trouble with 144 on HDMI, check the plugs. That being said, DisplayPort is likely the way to go if you're using this at the maximum resolution for gaming, though, or you might notice some issues with how the HDMI cable handles things.Although I wish that this monitor arm allowed you to raise it, the monitor does tilt sufficiently well, and it does have the option of being mounted. For the price, this 144Hz IPS panel is amazing, and I'd highly recommend it.
I personally have paired this with a gtx 1080 and use a display port cable to utilize the 144hz refresh rate. I set up G-sync in the nvidia control panel with no issues. The response time settings in the osd I use depend on the game I’m playing and how many frames I get. For instance the best response time settings would be advanced @120hz or if I can get 144+ frames I use ultra fast @144hz. The panel is beautiful being an ips display at 1000:1 contrast ratio not nearly as good as the va monitors closer to 5000:1 but the blacks are still quite deep and the color performance is good enough I don’t need to adjust anything.
