I recommend this bowl to anyone wanting a unique design and functionality in a bowl. It seems a bit too large for rice so I intend to use this for soups, cereals and other dishes that I'd typically serve in bowls. It's simple, streamlined with just enough flare to make it far more interesting than any typical, round bowl. I also love that the design doesn't take up a lot of table space with wide rims and sides allowing it to also stack nicely in the cupboard.

I have most of the pieces of this collection and have been adding more since I got my first sets from my registry 14 years ago. Everyone always compliments on how classy they look and their look is timeless. Because they are white, you can always add color with a vase of flowers or colorful napkins/placemats. The color possibilities are endless. I always check this set to see if they've added anything new.

I cant seem to stop buying pieces to add to my collection of Villaroy & Boch New Wave. Today I found the appetizer plates and I fell in love with them. This is one of the prettiest, sexiest place setting I have every seen. I simply love it. I also bought from the same manufactures the Obi stemware and absolutely completes my table.Thanks for designing something so unique.

These cups are the best part of the Villeroy and Boch New Wave line (except for the chip and dip dish.). I love the flat and curved handle. The cups are very elegant and kind of sexy at the same time. The porcelain is great quality; the design is functional and very elegant. Love these cups!

I wanted something that was fun and modern, yet classic and timeless.I love the way the mugs are held. I find the handle very nice and easy to hold.Normally I would say that white is kinda boring, but for these they are perfect. The mugs are so unique that white is the only way to not take away from their shape and style.The espresso mugs are constantly getting a huge praise and people always want to take them home with them at the end if the night.The spoons are a must! I love how they clip onto the mugs and espresso cups. it really just completes the set!cant say enough good things about these!
This is my second collection of dishes from Villeroy and Boch. The dinnerware is such high quality that twin boys threw them over a two-story deck onto grass and they didn't break. After 12 years with the first set of V & B, they still look brand new.My husband bought me two salad plates of new wave to use for food pictures (I'm a food blogger). We found ourselves eating dinner off of them and keeping them set on the table because they are so chic and yet still have an everyday friendliness to them. Eventually, we started buying the dinner plates and decided that these were the PERFECT WHITE DISHES for our eclectic style. We have a vintage, modern and antiques, yet a clean modern approach. This is an everyday modern bowl, you can serve anything and it is very easy to grab. You can serve a lot or little… for children or adults. The quality is a plus and long lasting. I combine New Wave with other V & B plates and it looks like a set that is very fun to have without taking the modern elegance from it.
Rice, soup, salad, pasta. Very versatile size. Unusual shape with elegant flare.
all villeroy & boch collections are off white, but quality is unbeatable. i kept every single item that i ordered from this brand, and you always want to touch them, every item is so sleek and well made. I own new cottage collection ( i prefer round plates)and when setting up the table always mix with new wave square and round pieces and they all go very nicely together. Don't be afraid to mix different collections of villeroy & boch
