This is my first true mechanical keyboard, replacing a Razer Ornata clicky membrane keyboard. I had to replace that one because its shift characters were actually upside down. I couldn't stand it! The characters on this keyboard are better, but I'd prefer they actually be ABOVE the regular characters. I guess I get to research keycap sets now...

I would recommend this product to others. I'm thinking of getting a second one for my personal build.
Wasn't originally planning on getting a mechanical keyboard ever. My old membrane keyboard finally kicked the bucket after over a decade, and I had to get a new keyboard quick. I thought any of the cheap ones in newegg would've been fine, but they're not. So I was forced to look at higher quality keyboards in short notice. Also, a lot of the designs I liked tended to be wireless only, so that's how I ended up picking this. My sitting arrangement is such that I mostly pull out the keyboard and place it on my lap. So I was surprised when I first lifted it. It's pretty heavy for a keyboard. Not enough to be uncomfortable, but I definitely have to be careful when picking it up.
I decided to get this keyboard because of the review on Tom's Hardware. This keyboard doesn't get the praise it deserves from other reviewers. This is the only gaming keyboard other than custom keyboards that have Kalih White Box Switches. That is what makes it different than any other gaming keyboard on the market. These switches fill in a blank spot that the MX Cherry Switches don't fill. You have your Blue's, Brown's, and you Reds. The Blue's are great for typing, but maybe not so great for gaming. The Browns are just a bad compromise. I would describe these switches as a combination of the Blue's and Red's combined. Great for typing be of the clicky feedback, but fast actuation and pressure of the reds. A lot of reviews on Amazon complain that that volume wheel and the media keys didn't work. That was the case with my keyboard as well, but another reviewer found the solution which I also deployed which fixed the problem for me. I quote hime below. "Update to original review as of 6-20-19: So after owning this keyboard for about 5 months now I have a few things I wanted to throw out there in hopes it helps someone. I don't usually use the volume on my keyboard since I have an external DAC and headphone amp. However, I did eventually try out the volume wheel on this keyboard and it didn't do a thing. I wasn't too concerned since I don't typically use it, but I feel everything should work 100% paying this kind of money for a keyboard. Also of note, Media keys were not working either. I sent an email to Patriot today and to my pleasant surprise, they got back to me within a couple of hours! They wanted me to hard reset the keyboard, and what do you know, it fixed the media keys and volume wheel! I had originally tried updating the firmware through the software to no avail, so I didn't have high hopes of the hard reset doing anything. So to anyone that has this issue, hold the viper key down (right function) and the pause\break key down until the keyboard flashes. And that for me did the trick. Also one other thing, I know for whatever reason, the print screen button will go solid white as if it's not working with the RGB. Well actually it is, if you hold the viper key down and hit the print screen button it'll turn it back on to match the rest of the lighting. I believe that when it's white, it's in gaming mode... Not 100% sure, but that's how you fix that going solid white on you. And there ya go, my only 2 issues I've had, and I wouldn't call them issues so much as poor documentation. Big ups to tech support from Patriot, and I still am in love with the box whites for everything. Great keyboard, highly recommended!"
THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT! IT'S IN NO WAY CHEAP, EVEN CAME WITH A PLASTIC TOOL USED TO EXTRACT THE KEYS (FOR REPLACING! IT'S LIGHTING IS NICE, TOO, BECAUSE YOU CAN NOW SEE THE KEYS IN A DARKER ROOM - I DON'T TOUCH TYPE, I HUNT & PECK.
exactly what i wanted except 2 small issues. print screen key is stuck on max bright white, and the keys, while replaceable, are curved and give an uneven surface whet the keys are moved to my alterate layout (dvorak). typing action is great though and ive already programmed several light schemes
Works well and love the clicky sound. I haven't had it long enough for any problems so so far so good
I bought this new and it arrived in used condition, did an exchange and it also arrived in used condition.
