I first discovered Vita Coco coconut water at Safeway more than a decade ago. Its tetrapak packaging piqued my interest, as it was unlike the standard polyethylene, aluminum, or glass containers commonly used for storing coconut water. At least at that time. Initially, I was unsure if I would like it since, in my experience, nothing compares to cracking open a baby coconut, inserting a glass straw, and enjoying it ice cold. In my opinion, nothing on earth beats the taste of freshly cracked baby coconut water. It’s simply the best. With just 60 calories and 11 grams of carbohydrates, it’s free of cholesterol, trans fat, and synthetic chemicals. If you’re a fan of coconut water, then I’m sure you already have Vita Coco Pressed Coconut Water in your refrigerator. I have tried several brands of coconut water and this is my favorite by far! It doesn't have the added sugar or pulp like some of the cheaper brands in the can. It's all natural and smooth tasting. I like the 11.1 oz box because it has the twist off cap. I workout a lot and on days with a lot of cardio, I will drink a bottle of this before and/or after my workout. It has more potassium than 2 bananas, more electrolytes than a sports drink and it's all natural with no fat or cholesterol. It's low in calories and keeps my hydrated. I don't know what else I could ask for in a drink. It also seconds for a great hangover cure. I have difficulty finding it from the local grocery store and when I do find it, it's actually slightly more expensive than purchasing and having it delivered to my doorstep! Some of my friends like the vita coco with pineapple or mango, but I like the Pure Coconut Water!

Changed the Recipe for the worse
6 August 2024

The new formula adds 10g of sugar vs. the old recipe which had none. As a health drink they barely changed the packaging, however, the new formula is is far from healthy. It is now made from concentrate, with added sugar, “natural flavor”, and gellan gum. The original recipe only had pure coconut water, pineapple puree, coconut puree, and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Which was A very healthy choice with clear taste difference and physical effect on a healthy body. Yet again on the search for a truly healthy hydration option without all the additives. VERY disappointing. Will not be supporting this new recipe and request the original be produced again.

Good, but emplyees just don't pay attention to expired items
28 June 2024

This is a good coconut water, when it’s not expired. I picked this up June 20th, they gave me one that had expired on the 13th. So I’m only writing this for the ones who do a curb pick up. Check your food items with expiration dates before you drive off. Other than that, this is delicious and refreshing. This is what prompted me to look at the expiration date, the liquid had a darker tint. It’s supposed to be translucent white. The image in the glass on the right is the one that was expired. They gave me a refund, but this should not happen. I’m about to leave another review on expired crab cakes. Over 6 months!

I enjoy the taste, But

I bought this and enjoyed it. It has a great flavor. It has more calories than the regular vitacoco water, but is worth it. You can use it on smoothies and has plenty of potassium, which I need for BP. Meds have helped, but drinking two liters of this daily has helped some. Changing my diet, cutting sugar and carbs has helped too. My BP was 224/181 in the hospital. I now buy a cheaper brand that is just as good. It is called Jamaican choice. I pay $2.50 per liter and also tastes great.I have one problem with it. I decided to buy more and then noticed I was charged tax. I live in PA and we don’t get charged for clothes, water etc. Prepared food can be taxed.. Anyway, to my surprise I was taxed. It isn’t the first time either. I don’t get how Amazon, Target and all other stores don’t charge me tax, but Walmart does. I would like to know where that tax money goes. It definitely doesn’t go to my state. I will be filing an FTC complaint. I have it 4 stars, but it would be 5, if they didn’t charge me extra. If you like coconut milk. You will enjoy this, but look around for better prices..

I tried quite a few coconut water products. Vita coconut water with electrolytes the taste I give it about a 7. Even though it's not organic they do have a organic of their brand but it makes me a little disappointed because the organic has a little added sugar and they shouldn't do that if organic it should be all natural. The real coconut water has a red pink tint to it these are antioxidants. Even though there are a variety of different coconut species. When I got sick with late stage Lyme disease I started studying healthy foods and drinks and I know a lot about health foods. Processed sugars or any added sugars are bad for our bodies even if it's just a little added sugar it's still bad. Otherwise this coconut water it's okay I will buy it again in the future ... MoreI tried quite a few coconut water products. Vita coconut water with electrolytes the taste I give it about a 7. It's not the best coconut water that you can buy but it's a reasonable price. I just don't understand this type of coconut water why they have to put 2g of sugar but what I like about this coconut water it has a little bit of potassium it has a little bit of calcium and it has vitamin c a little bit of magnesium and a little bit of phosphorus.

Love the product, but Walmart is incompetent
16 March 2024

I ordered 2 original and two pressed. I have high BP. My BP was 224/181 on 2/3/24. It took a lot of meds to get it down to 158/88. The highest number was 232. So decided to increase my potassium. Later I added 6 more liters to the order. The order came, but was only 6. I had to fight with Walmart to get a refund on two. A higher up named Keerthana told me to contact my bank and dispute. So I call and talked to a woman who fixed it. My annual W ends in 15 days. I will go back to Amazon and target. They have better customer service and make it much easier. Walmart doesn’t care about you business, after all sale is made. Now the drink. I am thoroughly addicted to these in a good way. I quick drink coke and now this is my guilty pleasure without the guild. A 1 liter ... MoreI ordered 2 original and two pressed. I have high BP. My BP was 224/181 on 2/3/24. It took a lot of meds to get it down to 158/88. The highest number was 232. So decided to increase my potassium. Later I added 6 more liters to the order. The order came, but was only 6. I am thoroughly addicted to these in a good way. I quick drink coke and now this is my guilty pleasure without the guild. A 1 liter container contains 180 calories for 33.8 ounces. A coke is 140 calories for 12 ounces. The potassium is 1,880 mg. The suggested amount is 4,700 for males and 3,600 for females. Potassium helps regulate you BP. It has many other nutrients and tastes great. It contains 10 grams of natural sugar and only 1 grams of of sugar per serving. So 1 liter has 4 grams of sugar added. I have changed my diet and lost 10 lbs in two weeks. This stuff is a life saver. Will keep buying this in the future. I highly recommend. Below is pics of a 11.1 ounce vs a 1liter. Also, my BP, which is now almost under control. I believe this drink helped a lot with this outcome.

Product excellent. Packaging, Delivery a disaster.

The product itself is great. Works wonderfully to help my elderly father with getting electrolytes to combat the dehydration battle. The taste and texture is delicious and smooth. The only issue is when I purchase online and they have to ship the item Fedex...it is not packaged well and always causes damage to some of the bottles. This last order was a waste. 4 bottles were completely damaged and the box soaked and all the other items that were in the box. The box delivered from Fedex looked like someone threw it against a wall before running over it! That's just bad business.
