I was a Simplus user for a long time, I may be a Simplus user again in the future. When I was last eligible for a resupply I decided to try the Vitera. The cushion on the Vitera is wider and softer, the softer is nice, the wider is not. The Simplus leaks around the nose, the Vitera leaks around the lower edges, it just hits my face in an odd spot. If you're using the Simplus and it works for you, I don't think you're missing anything by sticking with it.

I purchased a small cushion as the M/L tends to leak too easily (I've also learned that my Dream Station cannot distinguish between a leaky seal and varying airway resistance, leading to increased pressure). The seal on this cushion still leaks sometimes, but it is much better.
After only two weeks the headgear broke. The velcro piece separated from the strap making the mask unusable. Sorry but I can't afford a new mask every two weeks.
The headband that holds the mask I do not like and have not liked since changing from what I was wearing years before. My insurance changed, so did my product. I wish there were another sturdier and not so stretchy headband that fits this F&P Vitera mask.
I purchased this cushion for my Vitera mask a few weeks ago. I have searched long and hard for the right mask for me and the Vitera mask was without a doubt the best one for me!! It has solved me problems with leaks as well as comfort. I bought the replacement cushion for it before I even need it because I fear that by the time I do need it it may be hard to find because I'm sure as time goes by more and more people will be buying these up as fast as they can,,,it's that good a mask!! And as allways the CpapShop ships fast and has the best prices around!!!
This exact same item from Fisher & Paykel is available on Amazon for a fraction of the cost (currently < $17). $54 for a simple piece of silicon...??
I wish Fisher and Paykel would make this mask in extra large. I'm sure this can be said for many masks, but this one would be a 6 outta 5 if they make them for larger Men.
Seals are different for each person as I have found and so with insurance they will only give me one seal a month, however my seals do not always last a month for whatever reason. DirectHomeMedical has made it easy for me to get a seal fairly quickly if my seal has issues. Thank you DirectHomeMedical
