This fish oil is not worth more than 1 STAR!!!As soon as I opened the jar I was slapped in the face with a nasty rotten fish smell. I've actually never encountered fish oil this rancid before. It's too bad, I was really excited to try Viva Naturals, primarily because of the great reviews. Won't buy again.I felt encouraged by the amount of testing and the number of reviews, but I have the worst fish burps with this product. I do not have a lipid digestion problem, it's just releasing the omega-3 in the stomach instead of the intestines where it should be. They also advertise testing with IFOS, however, when I looked up the lot it was not tested by them but by a different 3rd party. My daughter & I have been taking Viva Naturals Omega-3 fish oil for several months now. We both noticed that we feel less physical pain which may be associated to a decrease in inflammation. We also feel a cognitive difference. These Omega-3's are in triglyceride form, which is more highly absorbed by the body. They are also very inexpensive for the quality level they are. They contain high levels of EPA & DHA which is what you want. The only downside is sometimes the bottles come with a broken capsule inside which leaks fish oil onto the other capsules making them oily. Contrary to other reviews I've read here, the "fish smell" caused by this is actually clean, not rancid at all... this tells me I'm getting a fresh product & the real deal. I usually take two times after dinners. If I am having salmon or other omega-3 rich fish I skip taking. My cholesterol levels are so much better now. And also my skin is smoother. It is easy to swallow. No fish smell or taste after taking it. I am glad I found Viva Naturals.

I take 4 capsules morning and night of the Viva Naturals Omega-3 fish oil. As a result I'm concerned with the total oxidation and impurities of the product. A review of the IFOS results for Viva Naturals shows that the product has a low total oxidation count (important as oxidized fish oil has a negative impact on your health) and low impurities (e.g. heavy metals). A further, common sense, test is to pierce a capsule and ensure the oil isn't fishy (which I've done). The only aspect of the product I would like to see improved is either an increase in the DHA content or a high DHA version as an alternative.
I had a chronic inflammation on the base of my right thumb that was causing me much pain. I used Omega-3 capsules of various brands to no avail. Following some research that I conducted on Omega-3 I came to realize that the EPA content in the formulation needs to be as high as possible. Viva Naturals Omega-3 has a reasonably high EPA content. Following my consumption of a whole bottle swallowing of 2 capsules daily, I am pleased to report that my inflammation and pain has completely disappeared. Thank you Viva Naturals.
We love viva naturals high dose omega-3 capsules! We've been taking them for over a year now, thought it would be great for my baby (started when I was pregnant). Got my omega-3 levels tested via Omega Quant before starting and over half a year later. My results were high! I eat salmon once or twice every 2 weeks but my levels are definitely thanks to this supplement. Highly recommend! Dr. Rhonda Patrick listed this brand as one she would try if she weren't getting some from a Norwegian source. Clean healthy omega-3's!

I definitely think it's better than the vast majority of other Omega 3 supplements, and the price isn't too exorbitant either. Bleh lol. Oh, that's another nice thing about these pills - I never experience any foul, fishy smelling odors emanating from my stomach after taking the pills. Other brands have that problem.Random issue with a previous order though: One or two orders ago, one of the bottles of Omega 3 apparently had a ruptured softgel in it (no clue how that happened - it was like that when I first opened it) - all of the pills in that bottle became all greasy due to the leakage of the fish oil and they unfortunately all had a pretty pungent, unpleasant fishy smell. So every time I would take the pills, my hands would get all greasy and smelly - and the taste wasn't too pleasant lol...
My wife and I have been taking this fish oil every night for three months. It's really high quality, and you can feel healthy with it. As far as I know, this fish oil has the highest amounts of EPA and DHA among other brands. The amount of EPA and DHA in fish oil tells you how good it is. In addition, when eating it, the taste of fish doesn't come back into your mouth, and its gelatin is Halal. Finally, it's an affordable product, especially considering its quality.

EPA has no effect on LDL. The content of EPA in 2 capsules is 1400 mg, which is close to the 1800 mg EPA which has been recommended on a daily basis for maximum cardiovascular benefits. So, on paper, the Viva Natural was a must try. I have been taking them for about 6 weeks, and I find them easy to take, but they can and do have a repeat taste. For me, it is not truly a fishy taste like some brands of fish oil, but it is definitely a mildly unpleasant burp taste. I find that I can minimize, and sometimes eliminate this side effect by keeping the capsules in the freezer, and taking them immediately BEFORE eating a reasonable size meal. The capsules go into an empty stomach and then are immediately covered up by the ingested food and then they are on their merry way into the digestive tract before the capsule has had a chance to dissolve. Problem pretty much solved. I have not yet found any product superior to Viva Naturals in terms of the amount of EPA or the desired EPA:DHA ratio. The much touted Krill oil products fall way down on those yardsticks. Despite their supposed better absorption than fish oil, the EPA:DHA ratio in most Krill products is much lower, on the order of 1.5:1, and you would have to take a dozen or more Krill capsules to match the 1400 mg of EPA contained in a dose of Viva Naturals.
