Viva Naturals Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil - 54 oz

I have used other brands besides this. I sleep with it in my hair two to three times a week and it keeps my hair absolutely soft and shiny. I always put it in while my hair is dry and wash it out in the morning. I had stopped doing it for a while and noticed as I aged and with medications and hair dye that my hair was looking dull and was always dry and tangled so I started using this again and it's amazing. A jar lasts a good while and it just melts in your hair as you put it in your hair. When you brush your hair there isn't a single knot or tangle once it's in. I love this stuff!

I use coconut oil for cooking and baking, and I enjoyed Viva Naturals' coconut oil very much. It has great flavor, and you can tell it is a high quality product, by the taste and texture. I'm also going to try using this for my hair and skin, as I've heard it does wonders! As for the packaging - it is a very eye-catching and clean design; something I am proud to have in my kitchen!

Great product! Coconut oil browns at the bottom of the jar naturally, not sure why, but I read it's normal so that didn't bother me. I also knew it melts at 76F so when I got it all melted, that didn't bother me either. These are all natural properties of coconut oil. Becoming liquid when temperatures are a bit warm in the house is NORMAL. The only thing not normal is mold. So to prevent mold, keep the stuff IN A DRY COOL PLACE, not in your shower or the bathroom. I keep my 32 oz. jar in a pantry closet and only scoop up what I need for a few days in a smaller container that I know I'm going to use up quickly. Please, don't stick your fingers in the jar. Spoon the oil out of the jar into a, for example, smaller glass lock container (we use the 4 oz one because we had it when we used to store baby food, but you can literally use any small container that is clean and dry and has wide opening) and use it to your heart's content. I don't know if this is obvious for everyone so I'm just going to say it: have two small batches - one in the kitchen for food, and one for skin and hair care use in your bedroom. I would only keep this in the bathroom if the bathroom is well ventilated. You don't want excessive humidity around this stuff.

I use this daily as an eye-makeup remover. I keep it in my bathroom drawer so it stays solid since it's cool in there. I just grab a cotton round and grab some coconut oil with my finger, smear it on the round and massage my eye to get all the make-up off. It works good and I love that's it's natural so I'm not scared of getting it in my eye.I also use this every now and then as a hair mask, by itself. I usually leave it in for 1 hour if I have time or just 30 min. After, I get in the shower, wash it off and my hair is super shiny!As well, our family loves popcorn and I've used vegetable oil for years. Having changed to coconut oil to cook, I tried using this product and was it delicious! Would never use anything else now for popcorn! I have curly hair and everyone with curly hair knows the second day after you wash and style it is when it looks the best. After applying this to my hair and letting it air dry I had 2nd day results in just a few hours. My hair is so shiny and soft looking without a greasy look and without applying any other product to it, I only washed it a few hours after applying. I have never had these results, usually without putting any product in my hair it becomes very frizzy and I can't run my fingers through it without them getting caught! New Packaging

I love this coconut oil however, I do not like the new container. Per the label, it needs to be stored in a place free from light. Yet the new container is clear and not solid white anymore. Seems counterintuitive so I hope they change it back.

The does-it-all oil is truly one of the healthiest oils you can eat. Not only have i swapped all my other oils with this, but I am now using this in the morning for oil pulling - check it out :) it's an ancient Ayurvedic practice that is supposed to cleanse toxins. So far Ive been feeling great
