Viviscal, Hair Thickening Serum with Biotin & Keratin, 1.69 fl (50 ml)

I have fine, wavy shoulder-length hair. I found if I applied the Viviscal Hair Thickening Serum mid length to roots like the directions say to, that I couldn’t get a comb through the top half of my hair. So, using three pumps, I went ahead and distributed it throughout the full length of my hair. I found it blow dried to a decent style. My hair appeared a little fuller, but was duller, not as shiny as it normally is. When I let my hair air dry with the serum, it just didn’t look good.

I think this serum is the only product in the shampoo, conditioner and serum trio that I would consider using again. It has a nice scent, but if you are sensitive to scent you may want to skip this serum because the smell does linger for quite some time. I have a thin spot at the crown of my head, the serum made it feel a bit fuller and also softened it after the shampoo and conditioner made it overly dry and frizzy! I wouldn't buy this product, but I will finish what I have. If you don't care about the lingering scent then this serum might be for you as it did do what it was designed to do!

I tried this serum for almost 3 weeks and unfortunately did not see any changes to the thickness of my hair; however, whenever I used the serum, my hair gets really soft and feels lightweight. The serum contains biotin, keratin, and collagen which are all beneficial for your hair. Although it didn’t help with the thickness, it made my hair feel nice and silky. The great thing about the serum is that you can use it when your hair is wet or dry. The serum does not have a weird smell and the texture is light. It doesn’t make my hair feel greasy either

Okay first and for most let me say this. I only wash my hair two days a week to help with the natural oils that are in it. I found that with this shampoo and conditioner I had to was more often because my hair became way to oily that even dry shampoo could do to nothing for. I didn’t really use the serum because I noticed my hair three time as oily when I did. I also didn’t really notice any thickening or extra volume volume. The trade off is that gritty feeling which as the day wore on, actually improved. So all in all, if you can withstand the initial gritty feel for a few hours in exchange fora thicker look and feel, I think this system is worth the try. Of the three products, this is the one that I liked the best. Does it work? Paired with the shampoo and the conditioner, I think so. Again, I would reiterate that this product is meant to be used as part of a three product system to achieve the “thickening” property. By itself, I highly doubt you would see any difference.

I did not like the Viviscal Hair Thickening Serum at all. I should have l known after seeing the second ingredient was alcohol alcohol that it was not going to be good for my hair. My hair is naturally curly, but most days I straighten it and this left it looking awful. It was looked and felt dried out and frizzy. I tried it several times with the same results, i even tried using products before and after, but it still looked bad. This stuff makes your hair appear thicker by drying it out with alcohol. It'sdefinitelya ptoduct I will pass on.

I received this product for free from Viviscal and Influenster to incentivize my review. Does add volume. Day 1, I only used the 3 viviscal products sent. Serum looked thick in hand, but soaked into damp hair quickly But having to add leave in conditioner meant that if I did the serum too, hair looked dirty and oily after 1 day. I’m not really making it work. But I think it’s me, and not the serum. Hair seems fuller when I use all three. Just have to work out leave in conditioner/viviscal serum. I will keep using the set past the testing period. #Vivisical2023

I received this product free of chargee from @Influenster and @Viviscal for my honest review. I enjoyed using the Viviscal Thickening Shampoo. It has a light fragrance and washes out easily. It leaves no film like feeling or heaviness. After using the Thickening Shampoo and Strengthening Conditioner for a month I feel like it truly did what it claimed it would. I received 8.45 oz bottle wich can be purchased for $11-$19. I would certainly use this product again. @Viviscal #Viviscal2023

I have been trying out the Viviscal thickening serum along with the Viviscal thickening shampoo and strengthening conditioner for the past few weeks and the serum is definitely my favorite of the 3 products! I have very long, wavy, thin, color treated hair. This serum does seem to add some thickness/volume to my hair! It is a lightweight serum that doesn't weigh my hair down. It doesn't make it sticky either (which I've experienced before). It just leaves my hair soft and kind of fluffy. There doesn't seem to be any scent though, which I'd prefer. The instructions say to use from mid lengths to ends on damp hair, which I do but I also used a small amount on my bangs and top of my head which did seem to make it look fuller. I haven't tried it on dry hair though.
