This tripod is not suited for video cameras. It's not very stable and doesn't pan very smooth. It is not constructed for anything but the lightest use!
Works great with my Camcorder. The tilt and pans are smooth without any slack. I also like the front and side levels witch I didn't see on others. With all the adjustment knobs snug it is sturdy enough. The only down side I find is the quick release is a little tight. 62 inch height is a plus and at under $30. it has more going for it than tripods costing up to $70. . Before I bought the Vivtar 62" tripod I tested the higher priced brands up to $161. they were a lot sturdier but weren't enough to pay the extra $130. and most didn't have levels. This Vivtar 62 is a steal.
It is exactly what I've been searching for. The features meet all my expectations and the price is both more than reasonable and a much better than other comparable and higher priced tripods.

I purchased this product solely to be used as a shooting platform. I was in a hurry to purchase one, and all the shooting sticks and tripods are very expensive. So I figured this will do for now, well I've used it a couple of times and I am very satisfied. In closing, it was a good purchase for the price.
Very good tri pod for the price ! very stable and feels well built.
Tripod works great. Very high and very sturdy. Doesn't tip over when height is maxed.
