I’ve been using this Fan for 3/4 years now and it’s still working perfectly. It has different settings for your preference. It's also very quiet and runs throughout day and night without overheating. They circulate the air with power and mine have several speeds. When I was in the store I saw how they worked and was impressed. They were a little expensive but I got my monies worth on them and they still work to this day. Very easy to set up, Just plug in and turn on. It's very stylish and Very well designed product. I have them 3 of them for my other rooms. Satisfied.

We bought this to cool our bedroom from the living room AC. First one started chirping and it was annoying. We took back to the store and exchanged it for the same exact OSCR37. Two days after we had it home it started chirping as well. Vornado’s have always been solid quality products, but not this model. We are going to have to take this one back. Such a hassle to go thru all this back and forth to the store.

This fan didn't even last a year :( It arrived with a broken oscillation button on the top of the fan, but we don't use the button much so we decided to keep it. We enjoy white noise so this was not too loud for us. It started making an annoying rattling noise about 2wks ago. It is slim, compact, and looks nice. $100 for a year of fan isn't too bad. I still wouldn't repurchase this model.

I’m not liking it too much. It’s not really a fan but rather an air mover?! If that makes sense. My daughters’ rooms get really warm and until we save enough money to have ceiling fans installed, I’ve opted for tower fans but they barely blows any cool air… it rather moves the existing air…. I suppose there’s a strategy to using this fan but I’m not up to figuring out what is needed to keep a room cool. They are however not noisy at all and do have a sleek look to them. I will be returning them though. It sucks because I know how good this brand is, however I got it on sale.
My fan did not come with a manual or screws, causing th base to be flimsy. My fan also did not come with a remote control, not sure if it was a manufacturer mistake or target. The first night I woke up in the middle of the night because the fan turned from the highest speed to the lowest making out room extremely hot and uncomfortable. The second night I kept experiencing the fan turning off within having it on for 5 minutes and was forced to keep it on the lowest setting. Really upsetting and frustrating having to lose sleep.
We absolutely love this fan! We purchased it in the middle of a heat wave. We don’t have air conditioning, so we leave the windows and doors open. We trap the cold air in the house by shutting the windows and doors in the morning and circulate it with our ceiling fans. During the heat wave, we thought we might have to get some sort of ac. They were pretty much sold out and decided to give the Vornado a shot! Soooo glad we did! The price was great, it’s simple, and I am sure it’s a lot more economical to run. Plus the Vornado was the perfect addition to the ceiling fans. It almost feels like we have air conditioning!
Read the reviews before purchasing, waited almost a year to evaluate and feel a bit disappointed. Thought the airlow would have some power, especially paying over $100 and going by the reviews, but I would say it's average. I've had oscillating fans (not towers) that produced this amount of airflow that were half the price. Even on high, it isn't "cutting it" in a bedroom on hot nights. Also, the remote is super small, smaller than a business card. Surprisingly, I haven't lost it.This was the first Vornado and first tower fan we've purchased. Not sure if it's the style or brand that I'm dissatisfied with.....
I had bought this fan to help flow the air. It will not make your room cool, no fan will do that. That is what AC is for. So when you see reviews where people bash a fan because it didn't cool down their room, well those people have to high of expectations. A fan will merely move the air around your ac will cool your room. With that out of the way, this fan is quiet and powerful, you will hear more fan noise in the higher levels sure, but it's all relative what one person finds loud another may not. For me I could sleep fine at night with the fan in level 1 or 2. I probably could sleep with it on level 3nad well, I just never tried since I didn't need that much air flow.My only knock on this fan is the build quality. Overall it's pretty good but it started making a faint clicking noise when oscillating. It wasn't very loud but it was annoying and that was after a week. I exchanged it for another and the 2nd fan ended up making a loud squealing noise on level 1 and 2 so I exchanged it again and the 3rd arrived broken in pieces out of the box. I think the 3rd one though was somebody's broken return. I think best buy made a mistake in sending they one and not a new one so I returned that and never got another.I might try it again next summer but we'll see. Other than the build quality and QC issues this fan is great but given all the issues it's probably too expensive. A $50 or $60 price would be more appropriate for this fan.
I live in an older apartment, located on the third floor, without central air or working wall air conditioners. (**No judgements from this statement or the rest of my review. The state where I live doesn’t have any laws to restrict rent gouging to protect low income, middle income, and whatever else the government wants to classify us as in their sick project.)Moving on….I discovered Vornado Air Circulators which helped a great deal but not my pockets or my credit card!Cost:I do not receive any products for free from Best Buy or Rewards Programs so I have to pay full price out of pocket. The price definitely reflects the quality of the product and yes it worth it. It’s a shame that this wonderful product isn’t affordable for everyone to benefit from. ... MoreI live in an older apartment, located on the third floor, without central air or working wall air conditioners. The price definitely reflects the quality of the product and yes it worth it. It’s a shame that this wonderful product isn’t affordable for everyone to benefit from. Especially those from the underserved areas that need it the most. I see programs for the inner city that is about 5-10 minutes away depending on traffic and the only program is for seniors to receive a box fan. Yikes!! All that hot air, humidity, blowing around, and all I can see is a giant warning for increased risk of heatstroke or worse.Brief personal background:I worked my whole life starting years prior to the legal age 14 up until my thirties when I fell extremely ill, and was labeled as “permanently disabled” while on disability leave try to get stronger.Heat/humidity causes:My so-called “non curable condition” causes me to have a horrible heat and humidity intolerance, exacerbation of illness, paralysis, and hospitalization at times. So temperature regulation and maintaining an around 70 degrees is critical for my nervous system. So this past summer I was determined to find one that moves like a regular fan l and this one was it! I am very happy with the results so far considering I didn’t have it the whole time.My local stores didn’t have any in stock and we traveled to another state to pick this up same day versus ordering from Amazon because I enjoy the membership with Best Buy. It was called total tech but I believe they changed the name.Anyways this is great product that I do recommend. It’s just a shame there isn’t a way to make it more affordable for the elderly and disabled people who are income/assets restricted to be able to afford quality products.
First fan I've ever had to assemble, it comes with six screws you need to use to attach the base. The fan while rotating squeaks and chirps nonstop. Either something is misaligned in the fan or the cheap plastic is just rubbing against itself. It's very noticeable and annoying to deal with. It blows cold and def makes a difference in the room if you can get over that though. The remote is useless as could be, the range on mine is inches from the the receiver on the top of the fan. So close that I might as well just control it all on the fan and throw the remote out. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend, look elsewhere.
