A Home Gym Must!

Very happy with my purchase. Best value spin bike in the market at this price point, and really competitive freight costs. The Vortex V1000 is sleek, smooth, and sturdy. Solid build quality with more than enough performance data and variable resistance for the perfect workout every time. I was particularly impressed with the customisability of both the saddle and handle positions. Finding the perfect ride position was easy, and has made a huge difference to my performance and comfort during long sessions. An excellent addition to any home gym. Highly recommend!

Really love this spin bike. Heavy duty and smooth to ride. The plastic pedals let it down a bit unfortantely but at least they are an easy part to change.

Comfortable but noisy

Good bike, very comfortable and easy to adjust hand bars, seat height and distance (normally I can never get these right where I need them due to my height). The big downside to the bike is every time I increase the tension it continually makes a noise, the only time it’s quiet is when there is no tension applied. I have applied a silicon based lubricant to the fly wheel which hasn’t resolved the issue either.

Compact & Comfortable Ride
22 August 2022

The Vortex V1000 Spin Bike has been a welcome addition to my home gym. It is compact, easy to move & more importantly comfortable. The team at Gym & Fitness had the goods delivered to me within 48 hours. Highly recommend.

Does nit handle my weight
10 July 2020

I read all the reviews and did the research on the Vortex 1000. Placed my order and Gym and Fitness could not have been more professional facilitating delivery and keeping me up to date. Assembly is a piece of cake, sturdy machine. My wife has already put it to good use and loves it. Unfortunately the seat post will not handle my weight (Rugby Union player 111kgs) and slips down even after tightening to max. Website says user weight can be up to 140kgs. Very disappointed to say the least. Generous 4 stars because it is just what my wife needs to get her back on track. 🙏

Excellent value!
12 September 2015

I was searching for a spinner bike for my cross-training. Came across the Vortex V1000 which is reasonably within my budget. Planned to visit the showroom, but didn't push thru. Instead I ordered on-line on 05 Sep and by 09 Sep it was delivered. The support from Mr. Rosman from inquiry to purchase was excellent. The bike came fully assembled. The construction is quite solid and design is well thought out. The digital display includes Calories, RPM (Max or Avg), Speed (Max or Avg)/Distance, and Time. Depending on the brake pad pressure, sound varies from silent to low noise (hiss) which is impressive. Now just add some workout music and you're good to go...

Good mid-range spinner + fantastic service
9 December 2015

Technical parts of the bike are solid. However the size is a little more towards the big side, so at 150cm I can only use the most extreme adjustments on the saddle and handlebars. To do that was a little tricky as it uses not the spring mechanism, but a turn handle, which means that other parts of the bike gets in the way. The computer works well, but up to now I still have yet to find out how to link it such that it measures my heart rate. So I would say the bike overall is a 3.5. Service, however, I must give a 4.5. They were prompt in arranging delivery, which I had to cancel, and then make a change at the last minute due to my oversight. Despite that the service folks at homegym gladly obliged, and the guys who came to deliver were very courteous and careful ... MoreTechnical parts of the bike are solid. Turn knob are always more secure than spring knob, and there is a way to adjust without the other parts hindering. You can contact us for further details.

So quiet
22 July 2020

Love the bike. It was easy to set up and it is good for the taller rider (maxed out the settings for someone 194cm) . It's VERY quiet. I can ride with someone sleeping in the room next to me without disturbing their sleep. Feels like quality. Pedals could be a bit wider and the display is very basic. Overall, very comfortable and easy to use.

Solid Indoor Cycle - met expectations
6 October 2019

This is a well made and sturdy indoor spin cycle. The design is geared towards beginner to intermediate spin cyclists and the ergonomics allow for a huge range of body dimensions. It is still early days, but I expect for the cycle to last a long time based on it's stability and decent quality build and key components. Definitely a reasonable price for this quality, finished off with a great delivery service. Very happy with the purchase.

Top bike but not perfect
13 April 2021

Excellent spin bike overall. Very durable and firm. However monitor doesnt ahve memory or cannot link up to phone or app to track if making progress. In addition the resistance setting is not accurate and spins aroun lots so you can lose track of your prefered intensity especially if bike is shared. Otherwise easy to install and move. Wish pedals were larger - made for size 8 foot or smaller. As i said small points that can be a pain but overall very good
