Surprising power in this tiny head. The cleanest headroom I have ever heard, typical of the newer Vox line. It really does sound like a tube head, but this Clean version requires a speaker of at least 8 ohms to be able to drive it to a chunky tone. I run this one through a 50 W Jensen 12" speaker at 4 ohms and it offers huge clean power. Fits right inside the cabinet I built for it, which is really handy.

What can I say. This thing is awesome. And LOUD. I use it to power a 2x12 at 8 ohms for 25 watts and it can definitely move some air. I haven't field tested it yet but I have no doubt that this thing could cut through a live mix no problem. I really like the attenuation switch on 1/100 so I can crank it into overdrive sounds without it being too deafening for my living room setup. Put it back to full power and back the volume off a bit to get a nice pure clean tone that handles pedals very well. These nutube things are crazy. I have no idea how they've done it but I don't really care because it really does sound just like a real analogue tube. If you're on the fence just stop the debate and pull the trigger on this thing.

I now have three of these little beauties - clean, AC and this Boutique version. All very good and do pretty well what Vox say they will do. I started playing guitar when I was 11 - 50 years ago and have had more amps of every description than I can remember. The MV50 are marvellous. They sound, feel and react just like trad valves but without the back breaking size and weight of the huge cost. I no longer tour so I have no comment on how well they would stand up to life on the road but for home and the pub gigs I play now they are amazing.

The amp sounds fantastic, set clean to break up it reminds of my late 70s silver face twin - the one with the pull gain master volume. Cranked more gain than the fender twin - closer to the Neil Young Crazy Horse sound. Delighted. Essentially a silver face fender meets a cranked tweed - and a bargain too
Looks good, great value, sounds actually unbelievably good. No idea how they got this much sound from an 8" speaker. Slightly bigger than expected, but still very compact.
This tiny thing is a BEAST! Holds up against my Marshall Studio Vintage, Fender Deluxe Reverb, and Vox AC15. Get the gain up around 2:00-3:00 and use guitar volume to go from clean to mean. Does that Fender with higher gain and tighter bass thing nicely!
I’ve owned a Vox amp so was quite happy to purchase the same make of Cabinet. Not a lot of features, as it’s just a guitar cab. That said, it’s well built and sounds great and surprisingly loud.I’ve bought from dv247 before and their service is excellent. Price is also very competitive.I would recommend this wee Vox box.If I’m picky , there is a white binding around the grill and it doesn’t match up perfectly.. but overall it’s amazing.
What a fantastic little amp - much more powerful than its diminutive size would suggest. Lovely clean tones and the built-in attenuator is great for home practice. The on/off switch at the back is a bit fiddly which is really the only design flaw. Small enough to fit on a pedal board, this would be a perfect back-up amp for a gigging guitarist. No effects loop, but you don't need one for a clean amp. I'm very pleased with it.
Got this to run 2 cabs in tandem with another 50 watt amp head.it sounds great straight on flat & still has a low noise floor when pushing the front end a bit. This amp is amazing for the price and it is way better than I was expecting it to be.The bass & treble controls really make you hear the bass strings & the treble strings very clearly.I have 7 different amps & some are 20 times the price of this, yes they have more features, but the sound you get from this is impressive. it will make me improve as it picks up every touch I make.
It is good for portability, easy to pack and go...It would be good if it has a FX/LINE in/out ports but then it wouldn't be that portable I guess.Sound is warm. you feel the tube harmonics in high gain.Energy efficient when compared to other hybrid amps.
