The main reason I bought this is so I’d be able to curl my hair during power outages (lots of storms here lately!). Unfortunately for me, it has been disappointing. I have fine hair that is hard to hold curls in, but with my curling iron the curls last for 2-3 days (with a looser wave each day). Using this auto curler, my curls have fallen completely out after about an hour, even when I have used the hottest temperature and the defined curls (tightest) setting. If you have thick or coarse hair that holds curl well, this may work for you, but I wouldn’t recommend to fine hair ladies like me. I have given 3 stars as if this suited your hair type, it would be great to take travelling or on the go and it is easy to use. Unfortunately, just not suitable for me.

First of all I loved the packaging my VS Sassoon. The bag it came with was cute and fits my curler perfectly. The product itself is easy to use once you know how to use it, it just took a few goes to work out what setting suited my hair. I like that it’s cordless as I’m a busy mum who has to supervise little ones and I could do that easily with it being cordless. I could also take it with me if I had a long day to fix any curls that fell out. All in all this is a great does it!

After being scarred from other curling products that promised great curls with minimal effort, my hopes weren't high for this one. However I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to achieve the curls I love (soft curls for daily wear) without all the hassle that comes from a traditional curling tool. I didn't have an issue with getting my hair into the barrel and it was quick to get a hand of the tool.I did find it took a while to heat up and would probably use it plugged in where possible as the battery isn't the longest lasting (but is as advertised). Love the optionality for various curl types and in which direction, super easy to switch between the options as you curl.

Absolutely love this curler. It is really easy to use. You literally thread the hair into the chamber, click the button and it twists the hair upwards into the chamber. Hold for a few seconds, hear the beep, pull it out and you have one luscious curl. You can change the settings and the thickness of your hair to have tight or loose curls. I really like that the hair that comes out is not boiling hot so I think it is less damaging on the hair than your traditional curling wand. As soon as I got the trial my 11 year old daughter literally snatched it from hands and went to curling her hair. She did her whole head in literally 20mins. It looked beautiful. I am very impressed by this on-the-go curler! When it first arrived I charged it up fully and have since used twice without needing to charge again. I feel as though I am still perfecting the use as some curls have held better than others. The way it hooks hair in and auto-curls is just fantastic! It beeps when completed and releases hair making it so simple and worry free.I’m very excited to have this to use in car trips when I have to get ready on the way to an event.
I have really long, soft hair, so curls don't stay for me unless I really use a product, and this product is no exception. However, I love that I can detach from the cord and use it while doing other things. It's really quiet, it doesn't feel like it is burning my hair or tangling it. It's a great new product, something I'm glad I'll get to use and make work for my hair. It's a really subtle beachy wave without being too over the top. Big fan of the soft wave

I tried softer curls and glam curls. You can pick the direction of your curl however be warned do not go over the same piece of hair, you'll need to touch it up using another type of hair tool.A safety feature needs to be added to release the clamp or please remove entirely as my hair got stuck twice! And with no frizz (unlike using my hair curler), maybe because the whole stand of hair is being heated from both the inside and the outside? I found this worked well even with my superrr long hair - again, surprising! I was so worried it was going to get caught and knot! The corlessness of it, is the biggest pro. You can take this anywhere because of this! So could be a great alternative when travelling.
