I'm really a 38 b or c, but have never found any that fit me. I just need a 36 c with a longer strap across the back. The Wacoal Awareness bra in a 36 c has fit me very well since I was a 36 c and now still fits well as I now measure 38. The cups are in the right places/dimensions for me. I would consider the support and trasparency levels light medium. Very comfortable, especially the straps and cups, but I wish it came in a higher support level. This bra is long lasting, esp with gentle washing. The Racerback, Retro, and Back Appeal (I don't like this one as much because of flimsy support) styles also fit me well. I've been wearing Wacoal bras for decades since I was a 32 B, and they've always fit me well.... Show more

Band way too small, totally uncomfortable bra
Cups fit. Consistent with “difference between chest to band in inches” measurements that women are familiar with. I have a large difference between band and chest size thus your fit experience may differ. I ordered up 1 band size and down 1 cup size just in case the bands might be too tight. That means the bands for the Wacoal bras should have been 2” bigger than my usual size. Bands were not 2” bigger…way too tight! Could barely get the bands around me. I adjusted the straps down as far as they would go. Could barely get them over my shoulders. Straps far too stiff. Fabric and construction are of very high quality and should last a really long time if the bras fit you. Underwires need a lot more padding and really dig into your skin as do the straps. Whole thing extremely uncomfortable on both the Awareness Full Figure Underwire & Retro Chic Full Figure Underwire. Retro Chic bra separates/supports/lifts large busted women totally, but looks pointy. Awareness bra didn’t have much lift.... Show more

Cup area sizing inconsistent
I have been wearing this bra for at least 20 years. Fit has always been perfect and cup is smooth with no padding. I was always a 32 D but since good old menopause I was spilling out of the cup and the band was too tight so I now am a 34 D. I was sized in the store by an expert. The first two bras were perfect. Then I bought to more a month later and with those it seemed the outer layer of the cup was bigger than the inner layer causing the cup to not be smooth. I was able to return and by two more. Tried them on and all was fine with the cup. After my usual washing and hanging to dry now these two have the same problem with the cup. The outer layer of the cup wrinkles and is not smooth. I can figure out if it's a quality control issue (because why did two work and ... MoreI have been wearing this bra for at least 20 years. Good bra, horrible packaging
I would give the bra a five star rating- it’s my favorite type of bra, comfortable and good support. The one star rating was for the packaging. The bra was in a makeshift envelope/box that was taped all around the box. And the tape smelled so badly that I had to throw the packaging in the outside garbage because I couldn’t stand the stench of it in the inside garbage. The bra also smelled like that tape. Unbelievable. I really don’t except to order something from Nordstrom and have it stink.... Show more

Not as comfortable as I hoped
I had heard that this brand was very comfortable so wanted to try it. I was measured twice and thought I’d purchased the appropriate size. This bra was extremely tight and I returned it to the store where the salesperson said that these bras do run small. I ended up going up one band size. It now fits well and the fabric is nice. However, the underwire does poke me under the arms. It’s less the actual wire being a problem and more the fabric on the wire ends. I may end up trimming the underwire and re-stitching. Pretty bra!... Show more

Really Good Bra!
The thing I like best about this bra is that it is "forgiving." By this, I mean that if you wear the proper size for your own body, this bra design, materials and construction have enough "give" to accommodate oddities of your particular body and breast shape WHILE STILL providing support. I have worn this particular bra style for years and have learned three important things about it. 1. Buy the size that fits you best on the loosest set of hooks; this bra will stretch a little over time. 2. Wear a different bra every day; this allows the elastic fibers in it to "rest" between wearings, and thus prolongs the life of the bra. 3. I put my bras in a mesh bag and wash them on a regular cycle in the washing machine (tho' NEVER with HOT water!), BUT NEVER put them in the ... (Learned this the hard way -- heat of dryer will kill this bra!) I am big-breasted (44DDD) but this bra works for me. When it starts feeling uncomfortable, I know it's wearing out and should be replaced.... Show more

Reliable fit, great support & elegant styling
This Awareness bra from Wacoal always offers reliable fit & support with elegant styling. I can buy my size and know it will fit right out of the box. It stays put and does not ride up, no matter how much I move. I love the refined fabric and wide straps, which provide more comfort. This bra gives me confidence, comfort and style and I recommend it. You have to like the underwire, but I do, and it is barely noticeable in this bra. The underwire helps the garment stay in place.... Show more

The band fits snug!
I love this brand, and I owned this style years ago and wanted to try it again. When I saw a sale price, I ended up getting 2. I trusted the info in the description that said the band is snug but will stretch with wear, so I bought my normal size of 42DD. I even measured myself at home to make sure I got the numbers right. I love everything about the bra except the fact that the band is so snug, so I'm really hoping it will in fact stretch a bit . . . and soon! If I didn't think it would stretch, I'd definitely be returning it for the next band size up, because it's a bit uncomfortable as is. Other than than, I am extremely happy with the quality, the fit of the cups, and the design of the straps, and I like the shape it gives me!... Show more

The Best Bras Ever But....
I have been wearing this model bra and a few other Wacoal model bras for many years and they have been great. Five stars***** Comfortable underwires, great support, comfortable wide straps, and have lasted for years. I have not hesitated to pay the high prices. I am in need of some new bras now. After reading the reviews for late 2023 and early 2024 for the three models I like, I have serious reservations about ordering them. Sizing is 2-3 sizes too small around and in cup size. Fabric is thin, not as supportive and tears easily, Bra wears out in a few months and is then unusable. Sport bra's straps are too short. One model has scratchy fabric and makes wearing impossible What is happening??? What size do I order now?? I have no store nearby to try on for size. ... Wacoal Awareness Underwire Bra
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW who determines Bras sizes and how the cut is done. The wires are TOO HARD the band is always too small have to add bra extenders n it’s always hard to determine sizes. If y r beyond a C cup God bless bras are some of the most uncomfortable pieces of garment that I can buy no matter the brand and even ones w/o wires wish I could go braless it’s one of the things I hate wearing the first thing to come off when I get home. If u need larger sizes it’s so hard to buy and Wacoal runs very small they cater to the smaller bust. They feel like a harness very uncomfortable... Show more
