After reading the reviews I decided to purchase & I was not disappointed! Simple to set up & so easy to use. Completed a 3 sides 6ft panel fence just over an hour! Usually takes me days!Quality bit of kit with an excellent paint coverage. I added approx 500ml of water to around about 8ltr of paint & got the perfect results. If you’re in the reviews wondering whether to buy or not, go for it! You will not be disappointed.

After reading the reviews for this machine,I went to screwfix and purchased it immediately. This tool is the best thing I have ever used to paint fence panels. I unpacked,built, and then sprayed 10 panels with 2 coats in about an hour. Then 10 minutes under a cold tap washed the gun to new condition. My top tip for this is to water down the 1st coat slightly,then use the full strength paint on 2nd coat. The machine drinks the paint,but is better with a thicker paint. 10 out 10 for this,clean it properly and you have a tool for years.

I bought this because I was tired of painting using a brush. Makes the job a lot easier, easy to set up and use. Cleaning is not the easiest - there's a lot of residual paint left in the pot, especially when using Cuprinol Ducksback, and the diameter of the opening means that getting a hand inside to mop up is tricky. It's probably easier to clean up with a silicone spatula or similar, but I don't have a spare that I can dedicate to cleaning up paint with.Diameter of pot opening also makes it somewhat tricky to decant paint, particularly if it's fence/deck paint.

That's me the DIY Do it all dad so the tool doesn't need to be of professional quality.However as others have pointed out the power cable is way too short by about 1.5 meters, so you have to keep repositioning the extension reel that soon becomes a pain. I mainly wanted for garden use.You have to spend a bit of time prepping the area for any over spray and picking the right day with low or no wind will help stop you spraying the neighbours washing. There's a few videos online you can watch for this tool or ones similar if you've never used one before but it's quite simple.Few tips. Have a small area with a plastic or card sheet for refilling, it can get messy maybe thats just me though, use old bit of card board in one hand to mask off anything you don't want to spray over. Have a brush ready to brush out any areas with excessive spray. Try not to get it all on in one go as it'll will just puddle up, drip or run. Don't spray too close. Several thinner coats are better, so practice with water or on an old bit of cardboard to get distance and speed you move at right.I used it for spraying Ronseal decking protector amd the viscosity of this is quite low so didn't need thinning, but if using some other fence paints rather than oils and seals you may have to dilute to get a decent spray. It should say on the tin or online what you can dilite with but in general if its water based then its OK to thin with water.

Poured it straight in and worked great!The sprayer did get a bit messy with paint when pouring it in etc, but cleaned up great back to brand new with some hot soapy water.The pot is only 1400mm so I was doing about 2 panels to one pot. I read such glowing reports of this sprayer I was starting to think it was a hype but boy oh boy it is worth every penny of its price and maybe more than that. Once you suss out the required amount of paint to pass thru’ the sprayer (and maybe get a bit of a technique going?) it is a cinch! Of course it dramatically reduces the amount of time you spend with a brush and I found I could deliver two coats of Cuprinol Garden Shades paint within the hour and with zero running or over-coverage. I cannot recommend this product more and as for cleaning? After several washes it still looks like it’s just come out of the box!

If you’re doing a decent sized job, you end up having to refill the paint container so often if starts to feel like you spend more time refilling than spraying.Refilling is a bit of a nightmare. I wish I could attach an image, the application was just laughable - I’m assuming it was the paint /fact the fence already had old product on it.Sprayed the same paint on new rough sawn trellis panels though and it went on better.. still needed 3 coats and likely used triple the amount of pain needed… lesson learned - should’ve saved myself 75quid + extra paint and stuck to a brush…
Best DIY equipment I've bought in years. Nice and compact, so I'm storing it in a small toolbox. Easy to set up and use. The reservoir is a tad small but when you have 23 fence panels to spray, you want to keep the weight down I guess. Sprayed a panel in about 25secs. Easy to clean. You can use any fence preserver, so you don't have to purchase preserver specifically for spayers, so you can buy a cheaper preserver. I would recommend to anyone.
I am very pleased with this purchase. Initially I was not so but tweaking my method of usage turned things around. The reality is you will likely have to do two coats over the single coat via brush-In method but on larger projects it will pay off. I had to dilute the fence paint product and therein lies my initial issues. If you find yourself needing to dilute, invest in a regular kitchen whisk, or pinch the one from indoors. I hadn’t paid enough attention to making the product ideal for this machine. Properly emulsify the paint and this machine is amazing. I think it less up to the job if you have concrete posts as overspray will ruin the affect. All timber fencing……Brill.
