The Furno 500 is a professional, electronic heat gun with graphic LED display. The 12 temperature settings from 60 °C to 600 °C remain in view and allow a wide range of applications. Best of all, the FURNO 500 thinks: thanks to the memory function, the last settings can be saved and displayed again. The heat gun is of reasonable build quality. The heat settings are useful, but the box is too small the fit the gun with the mains cable plugged in. The locking mechanism is of poor design and broke when I attempted to carefully remove it. The instructions suggested pulling the tab out but it should have said push the tab in.

Bought this last year, used it a little and then put it into storage. Recently started using it again and it has packed up because of a break in the cable where it enters the handle. There ought to be a cable strain relief at this point. An obvious design failing.

The gun is great and very well designed. The only issue I have is that it starts cooling itself up when switched off. I understand that it's a good health and safety feature, but it isn't practical if you need to use the gun multiple times in a row. It delays the process.
Handy bit of kit, ordered here as cheaper than elsewhere and delivered first thing Monday despite only ordering on Sunday.Easy to operate, good temperature range. Only comes with 2 attachments - glass protector and heat concentrator - where others have a wider range but if you don't need the bits then this is a great bit of kit.
Great tool. Works much better than my previous two heat guns.Only think to be aware of. It has a cool down cycle to protect it from overheating which can slow down working whilst you wait for it to switch off.Also works well on lower temperature for moulding plastic.

I bought this heat gun for craft resin work in my studio having previously used a more powerful paint gun. This one is so much lighter, I am 77 with quite bad arthritis, so weight and ease of use is so important. There are variable temperatures , at it's lowest I can hold my hand in front of it, and I can control the flow pressures. It is very reasonably price d , the extra accessories are available so if you are looking for a heat tool,this is one I would definitely recommend, incidentally I am a 77 year old lady, much to the amusement of my sons !!
Superb tool. This heat gun operates exactly as advertised. I had a major gloss paint stripping job to do and it performed superbly. I like the variable heat and fan controls and the cool down function is efficient. The gun is comfortable in the hand and I really appreciate the design of the back of the gun that enables you to rest it whilst in operation, cooling down, or for 'hands free' use to bend a plastic pipe etc. Good design, excellent value for money.
Very versatile due to wide range of temperature settings and two speeds. Cooldown function is clever for safety and reliability. Stands so it will blow upwards for heating jobs where you need 2 hands, as well as cooldown.
