We have enjoyed this trimmer for quite a few years-when our daughter showed horses open class and 4-H. A very nice piece of equipment.

I purchased the Wahl chromado clippers, and after a year have just purchased these replacement blades. Absolutely love them and the adjustability! These have been a life saver for clipping legs, faces, and when in emergency for injuries. Quiet and effective, I LOVE these!

Bought these clippers a year ago, and just bought replacement blades as a back up set should the current blades become dull during trace clipping this month. Used them last year for this purpose and all year for trims. They were easy to use, quiet, didn't get hot, stayed sharp and had very good battery life compared to my old cordless clippers. The black plastic guides used for longer hair aren't the most durable. During the process of changing guides (more difficult than I expected) the attached guide flew across the concrete barn isle and a tooth broke. Likely due to operator error, but the guide should be rugged enough to be dropped in a barn. After all, that is the intended place of use.

I am a professional groomer and have trouble finding this blade with my grooming supply company. It’s nice that I can drive a few miles to your store and pick it up.
The first time I got this blade it lasted for two years of body clipping a full-sized horse, and I was very happy with that, so I ordered the same blade again. I cannot guarantee that it is designed for full body clipping, but it worked for me. I am quite satisfied with it.
I am unable to rate this product, and it is not the fault of the product or the supplier. I researched Wahl's website and well as other websites for replacement blades for our Wahl Pet Groomer. All sites recommended this model product as being compatible with our model Wahl Pet Groomer. The item is not even close to being compatible. And it will cost me almost as much to return the item as it cost me to purchase it. It is cheaper on me to discard the product than to attempt to attempt an exchange.
Many uses when grooming. I enjoy having varied blade choices. However, the 9 blade stops clipping before the 40 blade
I always buy my Wahl blades through Stateline. They are the same reliable brand, but somehow often many dollars cheaper (at the time of this review, Dover has them $5 more). To me, since I clip several horses a year, this is absolutely worth it, especially when Stateline also periodically has free shipping. If you can plan ahead and keep some spare blades, this is a great way to do it!
I've used these blades on the Wahl clippers for many years now. They take the place of many other blades. I can't imagine having to use other brand-name blades and have to take the time to replace blades every time I need a longer or shorter hair length. While grooming poodles I need immediate changes in lengths and these blades have saved me many hours of time. They remain sharp for a long time as well.
This clipper is so quiet I have to check it is on. I also brought the Wahl CLIP ON comb attachments in case I want a longer cut. I say clip on as they are not the spring loaded set so make sure you get the right attachments or they won't fit. I have another clipper which I used to use all the time but since finding the attachment combs I haven't touch my other clipper. Although I would still recommend the other clipper but the 5-1 is very light and quiet to use this stands out from the rest. Very happy with my 5-1 Wahl clipper. Not forgetting you can also buy replacement blades for the 5-1. Brilliant...
