These are no different than the $10 Wal-Mart brand clippers I have. These are supposed to be high performance but they hardly cut pet hair. It's bad when it's easier to cut my dogs hair with scissors than these clippers. Even cutting my own hair scissors cut better than these. They vibrate your hands like crazy so you have no steadiness, and are super loud, it's like they have a ton of vibrating power but the blades on them are super dull, they didn't make the blades sharp at all, they are literally less sharp then ten dollar Wal-Mart clippers. Is it that hard to make sharp blades?

I used to own iconic Wahl MOSER 1400 but it got overworked and stopped cutting during Covid-19 lockdown. So I moved to Wahl ElitePro, which I picked during sale. I found the clipper to be a level above MOSER and the quality of haircut unmatched. The blades are sharp, the power is spot on, and the attachments are on-point. This has been a great purchase.

This was my first Target (online) order, and so far I'm very satisfied! It's nice to see that other store getting some competition! : )

Okay, this kit is great- I've already used it a couple of times on my husband's and brother's hair and it's solid, comes with everything you need. I'm taking off two stars because of my overall purchase experience: originally bought this in-store, and took it home to use it only to find out the the kit had been opened and used already; everything was out of its original packaging, items were missing, the razor didn't have the protective covering and there was HAIR all over. SO GROSS. Someone had even taped OVER the original closure tape that you need to break in order to open the kit. The whole thing was disgusting and really turned me off of buying from Target, but my husband really wanted this particular kit, and Target had it the cheapest, so we returned the ... First corded hair clipper and I’m amazed by its power and lack of noise for its size.It’s fairly heavy and I was hoping for that as I want a larger motor clipper that feels durable. No slowing down through thick hair as a battery struggles.It comes with ten guide combs that use a metal clip to attach to the clipper. No more plastic breaking when switching combs.The taper lever is amazingly useful and is a first for me. I did my first (successful) fade today thanks to all the guides and use of the taper lever.Only minor issue is that I discovered at home that one of the case hinges (thin plastic piece) was broken. This is the traditional low-tech, old-style barber shop trimmer that basically has not changed much in 80 years. If you want a classic reliable and powerful clipper with proven technology, this is the one for you. It’s not fancy, not cordless, no LEDs no display screen. You plug it to the wall and turn the switch on and it does the job. That’s it. I bought my previous one in 1999 it looks like this one and it is still working.
I can’t review this product because I received these clippers USED and UNCLEAN. The blade area is covered in HAIR. Apparently it is Target’s policy to sell used items, omit that they were used, and then not even bother to clean them before shipping back out. I’m so disgusted. Other reviewers had this same issue, but I thought I would be fine. Nope! I should have listened. Learn from my mistakes and don’t buy this. I’m not sure how I even feel continuing to shop at Target. How many other things have I ordered that were used and I just didn’t realize?
Glad I chose this hair clipper. Works great, smooth cut. This model was out of stock at many retailers. Target had it available at a reasonable price and they brought it right out to my car. I wanted to get this model because it had the sturdier guards and better motor, but I almost didn't get it because it didn't have the guides for cutting around the ears listed in the description. When I opened the box they were included even though it's not even listed on the box from the manufacturer. I couldn't have been happier with the surprise.
At this point, when it comes to the corded clippers, (I prefer corded) theyre basically just using the same inner assembly/motor with a newly designed outer case/shell. Older Wahl clippers will work just as good if you know how to maintain and tune them. over time you might get your blades sharpened or buy some replacements but thats about it until a new technology comes out for corded motors. With that being said, Ive used Wahl for literally decades and will continue to do so. I own 3 different sets and they all work pretty much the same. (they've gotten a little more compact over time but thats all)
