Came on to read other reviews to see if anyone else was having issues with their dog’s skin after switching to this shampoo. Have never had issues until we started using this. Now she has sores and hot spots head to toe. Going to try to find our old shampoo to soothe her skin again. I’m sure this worked for others, but definitely proceed with caution.

I bought this product to help my dog's dry skin. I was quite impressed with its texture, smell and lather; it rinsed easily. However, my dog's scratching immediately increased dramatically. I was disappointed but attributed it to his sensitive skin. I became concerned when my hands started itching because I don't have skin issues and never have itchy hands.

I had to buy this since I left my dog’s Chi oatmeal shampoo and keratin conditioner at a friend’s house. It smells good but is not as concentrated as the Chi shampoo I normally use which requires very little product for continuous lather and that bottle lasts me over a year (1-2x/month bath). With this product, I had to keep squeezing more to be able to get all her areas sudsy and to keep it soapy while scrubbing. I think it’s decent but won’t last you as long as you think. I wish there was an additional moisturizing feature like a built-in conditioner with this one, but they only have it with the lavender/chamomile bottle.

Read a lot of the reviews for dog shampoos at Target and decided to go with this one since it had the most reviews and highly rated. Was not disappointed! The fragrance is not overwhelming and smells very pleasant. My dog (Siberian Husky, 65 pounds) wasn't trying to rub his body against the carpet to get the scent off, like he does with other shampoos. After bathing him, his fur coat was SO SO soft! I didn't notice any of the negative things others have mentioned (sensitive skin, sores, hair falling out, etc) with my dog. I'm very happy with my purchase of this shampoo so far.
I have never used a worse shampoo on my dogs. I got this because of the glowing reviews, if I would have looked a bit deeper I would have seen there are people having issues with it. Both of my dogs woke up the day after with hives. We thought it was because they were laying in new mulch we put down. Used it again a few weeks later and once again both dogs broke out in rashes and are shedding like I’ve never seen. One of my dogs also has horrific dandruff now as well. I’m throwing this away and recommend not to use it.
I have two full-breed miniature schnauzers. I have tried different shampoos that claim to help with odor. I walk my dogs quite a bit and they came inside and outside the backyard as they please. This shampoo left them clean and fresh which was good. The scent is vey light which I love. But their coats are SOFT!! Mega soft! I noticed immediately after the first bath. Even my husband and kiddos noticed how soft their coats feel afterwards. I recommend trying out for your pups.
Severe allergic reaction to this product. Our dog reaction was worsened as time went on, days after giving him a bath. We had to take him to the vet twice and the second time, all of his hair was cut bare to his skin for his vet to stop the reaction. He was bathed twice and still had hot spots that gotten infected leaving us to take him to an emergency vet appointment for treatment. Almost a thousand dollars later over a seven dollar shampoo. We are two weeks out of the reaction and he is still healing today. There are other reviews about this reaction under the 1 star reviews. First time buying.. figured it would be a good purchase as it’s Wahl. After about 2 baths my girl was covered in hot spots, a rash on her stomach and sneezing/itching like crazy. I just got a puppy and you know they get into things and potty training etc they need baths. I bathed her 1x then noticed a rash on her belly. didn't think anything of it. besides i thought was a food allergy so I changed foods. days later another and bath sores are getting worse! then occurred to me it might be shampoo! came and read reviews now im almost positive its the shampoo. but the smell did last for 2 days on her.
