Wahl Professional 5-Star Series Cordless Senior

If I could give this zero stars I would. Not only did it take almost two weeks to arrive… the clippers were fake! The packaging was on point but when I go to open the clippers… they were a navy color trying to look like black. The blade was fake.. and the premium guards were very flimsy and if you know about wahl premium guards you know they are very sturdy. I have ordered these clippers before and they only come with the .5, 1, 1 1/2 guard… this one came with all “premium” guards which was an automatic red flag. They also did not have any power to them… my wahl cordless magic clips had more power than them. I never leave reviews on websites but I have never been more disappointed in my life. 5* Senior

I have been cutting my own hair for many years and have used lots of cheaper brand clippers in the past. I had recently been using some Babyliss super motor Clippers which I had thought to be a good piece of kit but they became a little wet when my son accidentally poured bath water over them, they immediately started to malfunction making me think that they probably were not a genuine product as I had purchased from ebay site. Much more comfortable to hold in the hand and they don't roll over as you follow the contours of your head, they have a nice balanced weight to them and have given me the result I was looking for and nice even cut even around the ears was easier due to the clippers being less bulky in the hand.Looking forward to using them on my little lad when he is ready for his next cut and for many more self cuts too.

A Critique

Okay yes, they cut great. The adjustment is just as tight and smooth as I'd hoped, very precise. The blades glide beautifully and the metal housing feels great in the hand.That said, I almost got the anniversary edition secondhand just for the full metal top cover and thumb lever, but I wanted to get a clipper directly through Wahl and not from some random online seller. As much as I'm happy to have a brand new one from the manufacturer, and as confident as I am in it, knowing a pro who uses these... I do wish there were an option, maybe a checkbox for all metal parts and no plastic. I'd pay the difference. In fact, I may go find a metal cover if I can because it looks compatible.Aside from what little plastic there is, these clippers feel super solid and robust ... MoreOkay yes, they cut great. First Set of Nice Clippers

Decided to treat myself and get a really nice set of clippers to use on my beard. I like that it's cordless, makes it easier to focus on the job at hand--I'm not a professional so the fewer distractions the better. I expect I'm set for life because I'll only ever use it on myself every few weeks to keep tidy. Lots of information/videos about cleaning and maintaining. The difference between these clippers and the drugstore trimmers I've used in the past is massive.

The Idol, the highest title, Numero Uno!!!

These are the Titans of Barbering. All other clippers all measured against these clippers.. These should hold down a permanent spot on any barber's station. Cuts through bulk, fades with ease and feels excellent in hand. Being that they are cordless, you have less of a task adjusting the cord out of your way while cuting. The only con for the cordless Seniors is that the runtime, against other newer cordless clippers, falls a bit short, but If you grab the Tomb 45 Eco battery and swap out the factory battery you will get a significant amount more of runtime out of them. This is one of those "Can't go wrong" situations when trying to choose should i or should I not. You can agree with me later.

This This product is AMAZING from a brand I trust !

Bought the Wahl Pro Cordless Senior for my dad for father's day. He had been using a 60 year old Wahl clippers on his own hair that had been passed through the family. Despite its age, the clippers never gave out. This longevity has given me high confidence and trust in the brand and buying new clippers from them was a given. The new clippers work great, and my dad is pleased with the smoothness and that it's cordless of course!

WOW, what an upgrade

Received my 5 star seniors today as an upgrade from my elite pro's for cutting my own hair which I have used for the past 2yrs. WOW, what an upgrade. I cut my young adult son's hair to test drive them, he has a medium/high fade back & sides, they cut smoother, give a better finish, blend easy & feel more balance in the hand & feel more premium. I did pretty much zero gap them to start which was easy to do & they coped well nearly removing the skin line. As for battery life, only time will tell. Overall so far I am extremely happy with my upgrade

This is a well built clipper feels premium in your hand. I learned to cut my own hair during the lockdown. I now can cut my hair to a good standard as good as my barber did it. I have stopped going to the barber since 2020 start of the pandemic! I initially purchased a magic clipper which was a really good starter clipper. I decided to buy a cordless senior the difference to the magic clipper is that the back of the housing on the senior is made of metal it feels heavier and it is more powerful. I found that I prefer the blade on the senior as the magic clipper has a staggered tooth. Overall Wahl customer service is great and their products are made of high quality. Wahl 5star cordless clipper - 1st month

I purchased this during a short price deal offer. The delivery and unboxing went fine, no quibble. I own a Wahl Balding clipper which I use primarily as a a bald shaver with limited haircutting duties so the Senior has effectively had to deliver the same service cordless. First task was to reset the blades to zero overlap. The result for the close cutting is only just acceptable compared to what the Balding does but the obvious advantage of the Senior is portability and convenience of mobility which almost makes up. Maybe Wahl should consider zero-overlap blades for the Senior or even a cordless Balding clipper for the future.

Well built and powerful.

Prompt delivery. Packaging was very good. Well built, feels substantial. Powerful motor - just like using corded. Premium combs included. I have been using Wahl for 5 years for cutting my own hair at home and impressed by the quality. Changed to Cordless this time for convenience. I am not regretting my decision. I am sure this will last for a long time. Thank you for maintaining the quality - very assuring. Would recommend this not just for professionals but for home use as well.
