Just don't be fooled by all the fantastic reviews. Given it is a wheel on trainer, the power meter reading is susceptible to changes in tire pressure and temperature and also changes in cadence. If you are just zwifting, the power meter accuracy may not be much of a problem but if you want to train using ERG mode, you will run into serious problems. One day, your workout is too easy, next day you can't even finish half the same workout. In this regard, this is not any better than any cheap dumb trainer with a speed sensor. It was also difficult to deal with Wahoo and I eventually sold this second hand and moved on.Just don't be fooled by all five star reviews if you want to train using ERG mode.

I tried out the Kickr snap which doesn't require shifter adjustments (due to using the same cassette). However, after riding a few times I realize I get the RPMs up and coast too often. I hear I can make adjustments on the Kicker App, but resistance adjustments occur all the time. Who wants to keep grabbing their phone and opening the app to make these small adjustments? I think I will go with a comparably priced exercise bike instead. Perhaps someday I will visit the land of Watopia. But not until the technology for bike trainers are better.

I went with this trainer because I didn't want to mess with taking my rear wheel off. As I got the bike (2021 TCR) really dialed in with the shifting. Also, I want to be able to take it back outside really easily. Maybe people would say it's simple to take on and off the rear wheel, but again I didn't want to mess with it.I been using Assioma Duo as my cadence sensor, so that the tire pressure always being the same each ride isn't as critical. Or doing the spin down each ride not being as critical. However, I do still keep a close on the tire pressure. If you don't have a cadence sensor, and will need to be keeping a close on tire pressure, make sure you have an easy way to fill it with air while on the trainer. The trainer for my rides have been perfect. I wanted something to use during winter and pair with Zwift. Haven't done a ton of rides, but so far it's flawless. We will see how many years/miles I will get out of it. So far, I don't feel like I'm missing out not getting the more expensive Wahoo trainers.

Mechanical set up was quite easy, soon became apparent that I needed to change the quick release to the supplied unit.Used the set up instructions to the letter but the suggested pressure on the rear tyre roller was way too much and I couldn't peddle. Took me a bit of time to find just the right roller pressure. I could not get ERG mode working with Zwift, but finally sorted it on my third ride by using the Zwift companion app.Once all the little problems where overcome the trainer worked fine. However I am developing a flat track on my tyre which I wasn't expecting. So my advice is use a cheap tear tyre.
I have this paired with a Garmin Edge computer. It pairs readily with the Edge with a brief flick of the pedals and seems to be very accurate. The only issue I have had is with the shoe mount. Initially I had it on my shoe as I only have one shoe but three bikes! On the shoe it didn't seem to register movement very well - I would be pedalling along with RPM firmly at zero. The shoe mount didn't last and it broke and the device fell off. Fortunately I was able to backtrack and find it. After that I bought extra silicon holders to mount on the cranks. This seems to work a lot better and the device registers RPM much better.
The trainer was relatively easy to set up, customer service was easy to access when I did get stuck. The trainer itself works well, is very stable, and can even withstand my 3 year old hanging on the handle bars while I ride. I am brand new to using a trainer but am happy with my purchase. The resistance definitely adds a challenge, although it doesn’t seem like much more than just kicking my bike into the highest gear. I like the info the app provides about the length and average speed of the “ride.” This is my first trainer but I do find myself using it almost daily because it feels good to ride when conditions outdoors aren’t conducive to a real ride.
Absolutely delighted with the Wahoo Kickr Snap.Easy to setup, fantastic build quality and the Wahoo Systm app and eco system is superb - better than Zwift in my opinion as being middle aged, out of shape, and only using a modest hybrid bike, I'm not looking to compete with wafer thin racers online. Instead the activities all being scaled to my fitness level makes every session hugely engaging, exciting and rewarding. I'm absolutely hooked after just 2 weeks and can't wait to get started on my Full Monty FTP training plan.I ride a Specialized Crosstrail Sports Disc, have used the supplied thru axle on the existing wheel and tyre and works brilliantly; the noise is barely noticeable (I connect my ipad to a Bluetooth speaker to really emerse myself), rides ... MoreAbsolutely delighted with the Wahoo Kickr Snap.Easy to setup, fantastic build quality and the Wahoo Systm app and eco system is superb - better than Zwift in my opinion as being middle aged, out of shape, and only using a modest hybrid bike, I'm not looking to compete with wafer thin racers online. I couldn't have been happier or more impressed. In short, one of the best purchases I've ever made; I really think this will be a game changer for my physical and mental fitness (such a fantastic release at the end of the day, regardless of weather or current restrictions).
-assembly out of the box is minimal, is sturdy and seems like is manufactured with quality.-i had used it for aprox one month and i keep getting it disconnected from ZWIFT. bought a ANT+ adapter and is better but still gets disconnected a hand full of times during a training session.-the mechanism that applies pressure to the tire could be better, you have to "guess" how much to tighten it which create the need to calibrate each time. it is a hassle since we swap bikes between me and my wife every day. my old TACX had a on/off lever, much better system-the "calibration" process is a joke! really!!!! so i use the zwift calibration process instead.-the app dont really use it, so i cant comment.
