Great little starter kit for getting younger family members into the hobby along with their parents. The paint guide on the back makes it really easy for them to follow too.Also a great starter kit for adults getting into the hobby / returning to the hobby as the easy to assemble models take out the hassle and headache of getting back into things.

It's not bad, but not sure who it's for? The brush is very cheap, the miniatures and fantastic detailed sculpts and the selection of paints is limited.So not really for a beginner: no primer or white paint makes it difficult to use the tesseract technical paint. All the instructions are on the box, painting guide is on YouTube and uses different paints.So if you haven't got these paints this kit might be for you, but why the cheap brush and not just the all the new paints?The newer paint are good, it would have been better to include Corvus Black over Abaddon Black (used in to video too) also the new Necron Wash over Agrax Earth Shade (again used in the video). The most simple of the start painting sets, good value and the models are really easy to build/paint. Perfect for a beginner.
Does what it says on the tin. Though this isn't all the paint you need for the battle ready paint scheme on the youtube channel, so factor that in.
First of all, I had so much fun building and painting these figures! And I know I did a terrible job but it was my first time! Now, I have to say, the paints are really great quality, the one that’s used for the base where the figure stands has little thingies so it adds texture, it’s really cool! I used a bit of sand though, but I don’t think it was necessary. For detailed painting I recommend buying cheap brushes (specifically for detail panting). The brush that came with this set is absolutely horrible, you’ll mess everything up with that brush. Overall a great starting kit if you want to get into figure painting. It’s very relaxing and stressful at the same time (the good type of stressful though!). Super recommended!

I purchased this particular paint set because I was needing a guide on painting an Alien race that the citadel paints did not have enough information on. I was unaware that it came with figures too which was a nice addition. Now that I have a basic starting point I can move forward.
Great intro kit to painting necros. Great value for money with the paint included. Doesn't leave much to the imagination though. You'll have to pick up some more paints if you really want to make these models pop
