WaterRower Classic Rowing Machine With S4 Monitor

We have had ours for 3 years now, and it is FABULOUS! Such a good workout, and my whole body feels it. It’s high quality wood, and it has held up great, even with two little yahoos running around trying to play on it. My husband loves it too, and honestly, this thing is the MVP of our workout room. This mom bod is grateful for WaterRower! Their customer service is excellent too. They send water purification tablets whenever you need them to keep the green out of the water.

Amazing rower!

The rower was delivered within three business days after placing the order. Item arrived perfectly packed and was extremely easy to assemble (did this by myself, effortlessly). The hardest part was carrying it into the house, as the main box is heavy and bulky. I had to help the Purolator delivery person! Assembly was very easy and requires no tools other than those provided. Beautiful, solid rowing machine. I’m delighted with it as with the service received from Northern Fitness.

Compact, stylish and low maintenance

The rower comes in 2 boxes, and the assembly requires 2 people. There is online video showing how to assemble the rower, and I would advise to loosely attach the nuts and bolts to allow all components lined up before tightening. The resistance is controlled by how much water you fill into the tank.The operation is reasonably quiet. After 6 month use, there is very little wear and tear, probably due to very few moving parts in a minimalist design. The S4 monitor can be used to record training sessions and linked to computer to join a race online. However, I hardly ever use this function, as I use rower just to keep healthy rather than competition. There are wheels in the front of the rower to allow easy moving. My rower is in storage position by default, and I lay it down when I use it. The whole setting up before using and storage after exercise only take 10s. There are a couple of water cleaning tablets included and more can be ordered. The only maintenance required is to put tablets into the water tank every 6 months.Overall, I like the design of WaterRower, simple and effective.

Exactly what I wanted

Easy to put together, really comfortable to use, solidly well made with a sturdy seat. Rowing action is smooth and resistance enough to feel it's working all sorts of muscles you didn't know you had. I'm in my 50's so the resistance effect is a great addition to the cardio burst. Just using it 10 minutes a day and I've felt the benefits increase day by day. Great product.

Expensive, but worth it

It's expensive, but it's worth it. We've been using it for about a month now and we are very pleased with the purchase. The motion is very smooth and the resistance is great. The seat is comfortable enough for a 30 minute workout, and the foot board is comfortable when you wear shoes. At first, the handle was a little rough, but we grew accustomed to it after a few days. I'm 6'0" and this machine works perfectly for me. I really appreciate how small the machine's footprint is when you stand it upright--we leave it in the corner of our dining room which makes it very easy to pull out when we want to use it.Putting it together was pretty straightforward. My only advice (which is already mentioned in the instructions) is to be sure you don't completely tighten all the screws until you have the machine completely put together. The footboard is put on towards the end of construction and it required a little wiggling to fit. Very easy though and now that it's put together you can tell it's quality and will last a long time.

Long Term User

I bought the Rower through JL. As usual good service with JL.On assembly, the sensor failed to align. I contacted water rower and they immediately understood the fault - A spacer issue, which if it's a known problem, why dont they just remedy it?Since then, I have replaced the housing to the monitor, it's very flimsy. Then bought a new sensor loom. And now on to buying a replacement tank because the seals became too brittle with age and failed.The massive spares list on the water rower website says it all, Yes, ALL those items can and do break. Compare that to the market leader, which only needs to supply and handful of spares.I bought the water rower for its looks, and it does great, but if want a long term serious fitness machine, then go for the other brand.

Loving my rower!

I absolutely love this rower. It's comfortable, effective, looks beautiful, and sounds great when in use. Must admit that I found the assembly frustrating and finicky, but once it was assembled, I became a big fan. I had to contact the customer service department initially about a piece that arrived broken, and they were fantastic. I'd purchase from this company again. Highly recommend.

Water Rower

We absolutely love it. We rec'd our rower a week after ordering it. It was simple to assemble because it is very well built - everything lined up perfectly. We have both already used it a few times over a 24 hour period and couldn't be happier. What a great product - what a great work out!! Ps. Support local!!

WaterRower Natural

I received the rower quickly and without any damage. My nephew helped me put it together, and it was actually fairly simple. I thought filling it with water was going to be messy, but it was not at all. I really like that it's made primarily of wood, and it matches the furniture in my cabin. I like to support companies that make their products in the USA. The sound of the water when you "row" is very soothing. I'm in my mid 40s, and I have bad knees from running all the time when I was younger. This machine is a very good low impact workout.

Waterrower Wow!

Got my Waterrower last week. Had been looking at them for years. Very easy to put together. Solid construction. Easy to wheel from family room to storage spot. Most of all I love the action. Great exercise. Reminds me of rowing my dinghy on the Bay of Fundy as a kid. Just what I was looking for. The swoosh of the water is mesmerizing.
