The Watersnake ASP T24 clearly demonstrates Jarvis Marine’s intent to design and produce the world’s best electric trolling motors. It is THE perfect electric motor for kayaks, inflatable boats, dinghies, canoes and other small craft. With the same lower unit diameter as its 18lb cousin, the ASP T24 provides 33 percent greater power while adding little in terms of weight. Watersnake has added a new transom bracket to the ASP T24. Other features include an anti-impact clip system in the mount, 2 forward and 2 reverse speed control, stow-away tiller handle, two-blade weedless propeller. The ASP T24 performs beautifully in freshwater and saltwater. In terms of maintenance, all you need do is keep the head of the unit dry, store out of the weather, and wash the rest of the motor after use with fresh water. An occasional spray with a spray lubricant around the bottom end and the propeller shaft will keep you on the water for years. The ASP T24-SW motor has 24lb thrust and a 24" (61cm) shaft. The recommended battery is a 12 volt deep cycle, that has at least 30amp hour rating, as this motor uses 20 amps per hour at full speed. Brackets to mount these to kayaks, canoes etc can be purchased from the manufacturer of the kayaks, canoes etc but they can also be made custom at home using wood, metal etc as this motor has a clamp like device that just tightens the motor to the bracket.
