I mounted the Purple drive in an existing NVR, connected the power and SATA cables, powered it on, it came up immediately as additional storage for the NVR. 8 gb gave us an additional 90 days of storage with 27 cameras.
I needed a hard drive to replace my Tivo hd. I was looking for larger drive and a something reliable. I know WD are very good drives. Purple drive just what I needed the ability to record over and over. They have great warranty and support. Everything working great no problems.
I wanted to upgrade the hard drive on my security system, this was a direct replacement and once I format it, it has been working great!
