Welch Allyn ProBP 2000 Digital Blood Pressure Device with Power Supply

I believe the main measuring unit of this blood pressure monitoring device ProBP2000 is okay, but the cuff wrap around attachment is unbelievably uncomfortable to operate by single hand. Never can imagine why such an easy part made it so inefficient .

Cuff difficult to use

Disappointing. As a non medical person, trying to get the cuff adjusted properly is difficult. Particularly when, as the patient, you try to get it on yourself with no help. If you have someone available to wrap it tight enough on your arm, you could manage. Also, when I was buying it there were no questions about which cuff would be suitable for me, so I was supplied with a medium which seems to be too large for my arm, I am now faced with paying for a more suitable cuff. This could have been explained and the most suitable cuff supplied with the machine.

Disappointing longevity

Having used this machine for 2.5 years now, I have the following feedback;It's fast & accurate, no denying thatFlexicuff is a good thing & I like the rapid deflate feature once a reading has been attained.It's good on battery life.But the downside is the screen has become increasingly difficult to read if square on which is disappointing considering this device is marketed for professional use & associated cost. (Out of warranty period)I will be reverting back to a manual sphygmo

Great machine but ..

Does exactly what it is advertised to do; measures BP in less than 20 sec.Comapct and well designed.I managed to get the "Welch Allyn Home app" from a different store as it was removed from Google Play!Only caveat is it misses some functions (memory, detection of irregular HR..)

Quality and Price

Our staff love these machines. easy to use and clean. Reliable with easy to read screen. Purchased with the mobile stand and the basket is handy to carry other Obs equipment. recommended as a great middle of the range product.

The BP machine does not operate at it's best in Australia. Bluetooth app doesn't work here.

It is a good machine, but it has Bluetooth capability, however the App doesn't work in Australia. It is wrong to import this device into Australia when it's capabililty is limited to readings only, when the Bluetooth feature for recording readings would be very handy.

This automatic BP should probably have 4 -5 stars, I marked it down because for its size you would expect a pulse ox as well...it would be worth paying extra for the combination.The unit is easy to read, easy to clean, and accurate with ease of changing cuff sizes if needed. A good BP monitor product.

I work as RN in one of the nursing here in Gold Coast. This product is an excellent tool for someone who could not kept still whilst getting the BP. It records the BP even faster even the resident kept moving their arms. I don’t have to repeat again and again, it gives more comfort to the resident due to its quick reading.

Works as expected!

Was able to take advantage of the Welch Allyn rebate promo too. Interesting design - measures BP on inflation rather than deflation. Only problem I have with WA Cuffs is that they tend to pull apart at pressure because they don't double back on themselves like other cuffs do.
