The scent of this product is herbal and it also tastes like that. I’m not keen on this kind of scent in products. The applicator is a little bit tricky because is round and it doesn’t have the shape of the lip. Also, it’s very difficult to get the product out of the packaging because of its sticky texture. One applied to the lips, it melts and it’s very comfortable. It moisturizes the lips but it’s not miraculous. My lips are very dry and this products helps, but it doesn’t solve the problem itself

Didn't work for me unfortunately

I really wanted to love this (even after it accidentally went through my washing machine) and gave it a solid few months of use to test its worth as a lip balm.Being truly honest, it just didn't work for my lips. I actually found that it dried them out even more and I'm not sure why as all the ingredients look promising.I'm starting to think my lips just don't like beeswax - or any wax for that matter as the rose wax in the by Terry lip balm had the same reaction - so it's no fault of Weleda's.I also didn't like the smell (or lack thereof.) I think when you're applying something to your lips, you want it to smell nice and delicious even if it is a natural product. Extremely thin, oily formula that smells of sage & other herbs.

Price-value proposition for this product is insane. It's super expensive for what it is, but I've gotten no benefit out of it that I could feel on my lips. It's extremely thin in texture (think a Carmex Daily Care tube that's been in your pocket the whole day-thin), and has a weird herbal scent to it that I cannot get over. Size is tiny for what you are paying. I've found no use for this product and would rather buy something else. Oh well, maybe that's just me, but I'd put my money elsewhere.

I keep multiples of these all over....my purse, my nightstand, my bathroom, etc. Very fresh herbal scent, like all Weleda products. Comes out looking like a thin petroleum-based product, but instantly melts into a creamy oil from the heat of lips. Doesn't just sit on top of your lips in a gloppy, greasy mess like synthetics...this actually absorbs into your lips in just a couple of minutes, and leaves them feeling so soft and smooth, without any nasty grease. I can see where people who are used to synthetic lip treatments would feel like it doesn't last, or isn't working, based on how it absorbs rather than coats. It works for me

I was given this lip balm by a friend and I have to say it does seem to help with my perennially chapped lips. Very few products do help, so this is a major positive. However, as others have noted the scent/flavor is a bit unusual and does take getting used to. I can't think of a way to describe it... although it is all natural ingredients let's just say the combination is not an epicurean delight. But it does seem to work whilst most other options cannot accomplish that basic function.Dispensing the product is a bit of a challenge -- you have to squeeze the tube with a lot of finesse to get the right amount of goo to come out. But it's a great way to develop your fine motor skills!
