I purchased these packets as bribery. My kitty hates getting her nails trimmed but since she knows that she gets a yummy tuna treat she only tries to escape with half of her strength. I like these since they are a nice size for a hearty snack/treat for her. She goes crazy for fish and these definitely hit the mark. With most food she leisurely strolls around before getting her meals but with this there is no delay she eats it as fast as she can. It is mostly tuna which is what I wanted. I also noticed that the packet is almost half broth which is totally fine by me since she loves that part too but I just wasn't expecting it. In the summer of 2019 my male cat was diagnosed with crystals in his urine. The vet recommended increasing his water intake and a change in diet.We purchased a water fountain: He hates it, She LOVES it.The Vet recommended a urinary specific cat food. She hated it; only eats Wellness CORE Kitten Food. He tried but would not eat it.We reduced the amount of dry food fed daily and added water to the Wellness CORE Kitten Food.Added a second breakfast of a high water content food.For dinner we added an appetizer of CORE Simply Shreds in a separate dish.He now has normal output in the box.

We use this in addition to dry cat food. With a sensitive constitution I love this extra treat as it has just 4 ingredients with no additives. My ragdoll also gets additional fluid with the broth. The expense is well worth it.

Cats love it, way to small amount of actual food and the packaging is terrible. You go to open a pack and the broth goes everywhere. You have to dig in the package to get the rest stuck inside. Will never buy again.And by the way Chewy, list the complete items name and not leave out the broth description.
I would like to give this product a higher rating, but the packaging was a major downfall. I really like the idea of these pouches for environmental and storage reasons. However, everytime I open a pouch the liquid splashes on me, the counter or both. Didn't matter if I used the tabs or cut the pouch with scissors. SPLASH! :( Plus, a good portion of food gets stuck in the bottom creases of the pouch. Using a spoon or adding water to the pouch (to get the pieces out) is a pain-in-the-butt. It's a shame because the food looks great and my fur-monsters love it! Please consider different packaging!!
I have an 18 month old cat that loves these. First of all, she is a fish girl (pretty much only prefers wet food with seafood/fish) and prefers gravy style wet food. I give her these packets from time to time as a middle of the day snack. I refer to it as "tuna soup." She gets so excited when she sees the packet. I like that it provides hydration for her and there are only 4 simple ingredients. I will keep buying these for her. I took one star off for the packaging. Shreds of tuna and shrimp usually go to waste because I struggle to remove all of it from the packaging. I find it helpful to shake the package before opening, but there are still bits of tuna I can't get out when I use a spoon or my finger.
Five stars for the food but zero stars for the package. There's so much broth that I use scissors to trim the top of the pouch over a dish. Then the tuna sticks to the bottom so I cut the pouch open. Since the kitties love it and clean up the dish, I'll keep buying this. They're older felines and need the extra fluid. Would really appreciate having cans for this food. The pouch is a pain.
First of all, this is really watery. It's hard to open the pouch without the liquid getting all over. After the first one made a mess, I now open them over the sink. The pouches are really small too, I didn't read the description well enough. I thought they were going to be your standard 3oz size pouch. I am happy I got them at a "deal" price and if I hadn't I would have felt ripped off. My cats do like the food, I put it on top of some of their pates that they aren't particularly crazy about. Overall, if I want to add tuna to their food, it would be much more cost effective to just use a can of regular grocery store tuna. I love Wellness pet food, especially their canned pate line, but these pouches are a miss for me.
We feed our senior girl Weruva pouches twice a day, along with a bit of dry Rx kidney food for her to graze on. I noticed that if she gets too hungry, she'll vomit stomach acid. To avoid this, we started giving her a bedtime snack. With her calorie distribution throughout the day, I either give her a 15-20 calorie treat right before bed (like the Fancy Feast broths) and some other treats throughout the day, or this (30 calories) without other treats. Other reviewers have noted the amount of broth/water, which is true...but I see as a very good thing for our girl who has kidney disease. Cats are notoriously bad water drinkers and anything you can do to increase their hydration will help with all kinds of things, like avoiding UTIs and improving kidney function. Very messy when you open them and smelly like everyone else says. Most of the time I also have to shove a knife in there or something to get the rest of it out of the package which is gross. Sometimes the juices literally fly across the floor. I tried a different brand and it was much less fishy and easier to open so I don’t think these are worth it. But my cat does like them so 3 stars it is.
