Great kit. Bought it for work. Should have checked reviews more closely as the set has imperial hex bits and everything I work on is japanese so I had to buy the supplimentary hex bit set. We use the more versatile wadsworth sets at work but the wera ratchet is nicer and uses universal bits which is good.

Honestly, this has been a great mini ratchet drive set. Perfect for getting into smaller spots in weird angles or corners. This was my first Wera tool, and it wont be my last, the quality is great, they might be a little pricy, but Id rather buy something that will last thru years of hard use, then cheap out and get multiples of the same tool.

I am a sysadmin, and I spent a bunch of time working on computers in datacenters. Often I've got to get to some weird fastener at a weird angle. I've been buying cheap mini-ratchets for some time now, but I usually destroy them fairly quickly. I've had this one for some time now, and it's been worth the extra money. It works well. The bits are nice, too. Be warned, though, the belt-loop thing on the back of it is purely decorative and will pop off at the first sign of actual use. I'm actually deducting one star from an otherwise perfect product for this; the ingenious design of the case would be perfect to wear on my belt, if suitable accommodations were provided.

I bought this in error as I didnt realize that it was a mini set, but I work on bikes and other misc things (chainsaw, furniture,etc) and at first I was planning to send back; however chance would have it that I needed a small set to work within a tight area and this performed well. Still, I would not buy again, but its not going back either.

I've been using this thing for five years now and find it to be an essential tool in my bag. The quality is high and I find myself needing a ratchet this small pretty often. My only gripe with it is a common gripe I have with Wera bit sets. I wish it came with a full set of imperial and metric hex bits. I run across screws with hex sockets like 8000% more often than Torx and square heads.

The overall design and quality of this set is excellent, it is easy to carry, compact and make it easy to work on small mechanical projects. It is also appreciable that the part are cross compatible with other Wera kits, something that seem obvious but not always true with competitors. My only disappointment is that the hex bits are imperial, this is not clearly indicated in the product description and drove me to buy additional metric bits from Wera.

This, or any similar Wera set, is a perfect gift for a new homeowner, kid going out in the world to college/etc, DIY handy person, or similar. It's utility with Ikea furniture alone is worth the price of admission. Supplemented with a stubby screwdriver handle and a T-handle that both accept the 1/4" bits, and you're unstoppable.
