No doubting these are high quality clever spanners with a useful feature for holding a nut. The added holding feature is not really worth high price though. I bought these in desperation for a tricky limited access job but found another way before they arrived! These are really only for the serious tool collector!

That being said, I still very much like the Joker wrenches, I was removing some AN fitting in a hard to reach on a Citation and the Joker wrenches held very well and very much appreciated no having to flip the wrench each turn. I am also excited to use the holding function to sneak a nut behind panels to get started instead of my normal style of holding it between my index and middle finger where I might accidentally drop it and spend thirty minutes chasing the nut. Overall I like the set very much and am happy I finally pulled the trigger, Just know they aren't perfect

I purchased these for an older Porsche I was restoring and they are great wrenches! However, with cars that are several decades old... we all know how some bolts or nuts can just be "frozen" or stuck on and they're going to take a bit of convincing to remove. I think the characteristics of the ratcheting mechanism that make them unique would break first. For this project I ended up used old fashioned steel ratchets, breaker bars, hammers, my feet, etc. These do work GREAT on a new Porsche that I have where bolts haven't seized up yet and they perform fantastically and get a good bite on the heads. I would purchase them again!

I work as an industrial mechanic so I use these everyday. Material is solid and very comfy. I enjoy them being straight with no offset so after I break a bolt or nut loose I can go on it straight on like a nut driver. The nut holding aspect has helped me quite a few times in tight spots. Being in food production I'm required to deep clean my tools daily and so far only the stripes of colored paint has started to rub off.
It wasn't without reservations that I bought these wrenches. The price is certainly steep. I purchased a metric and SAE set for my field bag. I have been consistently impressed with Wera tools and liked the thought that went into these. The holders are great too. I pulled them out for the first time today and let the open end shine. I was working on a t but securing bolt in a tight 90deg bracket that wouldn't let a socket on as it was blocked by another head. The open end with its 12point like jaw let me easily maneuver the wrench on and off the head to get it right. These things work like a dream. I'm sold, if you're a tool nut or a professional just click buy.

I have been a mechanic for over 25 years. I have my set of gear wrenches for about 15 years and have yet to replace one. When I lost my 10 mm & 8 mm wrench, had to find replacement. I wasnt sure about this brand until I started using the new set at work. Very smooth, nice grip, the open end wrench had a nice bite on boot heads. I believe these will last as long as my old tools.

I first laughed at the name and the price but after realizing how many times I needed something like this, I wasnt laughing any more. Had to replace a circulator pump with two hidden bolts at the bottom. Always fought in the past getting something to hold the bolt and center them in place. Now all I need to do is place the bolt into the open end side sliding it into two smartly designed slots, a plate keeps it from passing through the wrench. After sliding the bolt into place, you flip the wrench over and tighten with a 12 point 3 degree turn box end ratchet to tighten. They're pro-grade instruments that are as well-made as the best of them and at a reasonable price for their value. Wera tools are built to last a lifetime and they're precise. It's not uncommon for a cheaper consumer-grade wrench to be off by a millimeter or more, usually being too loose, which leads to excessive wear on the nut and, ultimately, a nut that can't be removed using any wrench. Cheaper tools sometimes break. It's always a surprise to see what appears to be a solid hunk of steel that suddenly fractures like a brittle bone.
